Signing both and keeping Maguire would be amazing business.
The other two can settle in without that immediate pressure...They can continue to learn and get used to the PL. Then in either Jan or July when Maguire would eventually go, we've still got a solid defence.
Get Benny out, Wes can stay for one more year then off or retirement.
Get King, Ulloa and Slim out. Perhaps also Mendy (although he could have a fresh start). Kapustka out too.
Getting in one more striker and that'd be nifty.
I'd take drinky back but only if we get rid of a couple of CMs.
Silva, Iborra, Ndidi, James, King, Madison, Choudhury, Mendy. Madnessssss

His quote of being really happy at Leicester but obviously wanting to play at the highest level suggests he's interested in moving to Utd. And who could blame him? I'd love for him to stay for a bit longer if anything to reinforce that any half decent player at Leicester won't run away at the first mention of a bigger club coming in.

Why do some folk think you can just dump players? We have some players on very lucrative contracts who don't have any legal requirement to seek lower paid work elsewhere just as we have very little recourse other than to pay them out of said contracts. There are also very few suitors for any of them if we take transfer rumours as a starting point. The likes of James, King and Ulloa can and probably will choose to take the bucket load of cash on offer through their contract rather than playing for half the amount. Mercenary? Perhaps, but who can blame them?

Keeping Simpson if he isn’t in the squad is literally pointless. Counterproductive if he’s also got the hump.
I’d sooner see the club subsidize moves for players it has no plans for than having them sit around gathering dust.
