we'll give him away for nothing, obviously.

Yes that would be a very dignified ending for his last 5 or 6 years as a professional footballer.we should either keep him to play in the u23s and continue his commitment to the club and become a coach over time
Sounds like he’ll fit in well, to me.Just got this from our German football editor about the Turkish fella we are linked with:
“He obviously has potential but he is prone to make these huge mistakes... In the last two years I think he had like 6 or 7 blunders that directly led to goals, I think more than anyone in German football. Probably a good chance you will hate him ;-)”

Wolves making big moves.
Zinchenko from Man City would be excellent, we should be all over that for our left side.
Also Dendoncker in talks.
I think they’ll finish midtable. They’ve made some cracking signings. They'll still go down though.

I think Wolves will finish ahead of us. Possibly 9th. With West Ham and Everton in 7th and 8th respectively. I think we'll have a frustrating season with a lot of good and a lot of bad.
He will more than likely be named in the squad if he doesn’t get offers elsewhere which match his salary. This means we can use him as a very adequate RB replacement when needed. It also means that we can utilise his experience to help young and new players adapt to the Premier League and all of that for the same price as it would cost us to pay him out of his contract and not very much more than it would cost us to subsidise his wages whilst on loan elsewhere. These things make no business sense at all.Keeping Simpson if he isn’t in the squad is literally pointless. Counterproductive if he’s also got the hump.
I’d sooner see the club subsidize moves for players it has no plans for than having them sit around gathering dust.
Not at all, no.Pop. Im preettty sure Simpson isn’t getting a kit.
And as for using him as a foil for the youngsters...I’m not sure he’s the best role model to be honest.
Out of those two I’d hope it was James who didn’t make the squad.Mendy or James
I make it 32 born 1996 or earlier:I agree with you entirely about not just being able to offload players.
But it sounds like Simpson wont get used.
We have to name a max squad size of 25 and I think I read we have 31 senior players on our books, so 6 can't be included...
My guess is those 6 will be
Simpson
Ulloa
Slimani
King
Benny if we get the 2 new CBs
An one more?
Like I say, it’s such a deluded notion to think that we can simply reduce our squad numbers easily. We can’t without the offers from other clubs and the willingness of the players to take a substantial pay cut.
