I'm not arguing as to why they would.

The model isn't sustainable because what happens if they don't get another Chinese bidder at the same rate?

Would you bid the same amount or more when you know one of the main competitors is out of the race?

Seems to me like the power isn't with the premier league here.


Also spending all of the money before you've received it all is sustainable?

That company isn’t out of the race, they can bid to get the rights back, the contract was breached as they hadn’t paid so the Premier League cancelled it to resell
