Speculation The hysterical and annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded summer 2023 rumours thread - it's started already!

Ndidi won't be off to Forest as they're close on Ibrahim Sangare from PSV Eindhoven....

I would expect 3 or 4 out today, and hopefully at least two in.

Outs: Daka, Soumare (both loans), Ndidi (probably sold), and think we'll be desperate to ship out Praet at least on a loan so think something could happen late in the day there despite lack of rumours.

Ins: we need a striker and another defender as a minimum. Sounds like Cannon is very likely now, but not sure who for defence now that Southampton have signed the other Man City defender we wanted.

Think we could do with a midfielder too though if Ndidi & Soumare (and potentially Praet) go.

Forgot about Souttar from this list and potentially a keeper (Iversen most likely) - so maybe 5-6 outs. Although wouldn't be surprised to see all 4 keepers stay which is ridiculous

For what it’s worth.

I signed Cannon as he was released from Everton. He became club captain and star player as I led Northampton to the top of the Championship.

It’s worth nothing.

I don't like the thought of paying half his salary when hes not even here although the £1.75m straight up fee will cover the bulk of that for the year that hes over there. Supposedly that deal includes an 'option' to buy which again is a bit crap for us because it just leaves us in limbo..

Hopefully Bournemouth or Everton come in with a straight up fee to get it done permanently.

I hate to mention the 'a' word again, but a loan is far more sensible. Unless someone is willing to pay around £20m (which they obviously are not) then we financially benefit from a loan more than a sale.

Reading some of the the posts, it sounds like some posters are spending / losing their own money.
