What are the technical reasons you refer to?

In the week that Aguero has chosen to quit the game on account of a heart problem, I don't think it's likely that a player who 'died' on the pitch will be sensible/likely to put himself at further risk.
Inter said in October that the Italian medical authority had suspended Eriksen from playing in Serie A because of a rule prohibiting the use of an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) device.

My mate collapsed with no output 400m from the finish line at the London marathon but was brought back and has a defib fitted, he still runs but insurance is an absolute pain now.

Not sure we need him, but he fits the profile of some of the recent signings we’ve made (older, with premier league experience).

wonderful player in his day, but not right for us.

My mate has a similar defib fitted. No idea what his insurance is like but he can’t drive for 6 months after every triggering episode.

Lots of little rumours about Lucas Digne being out of favour at Everton.
Excellent player in my opinion, can't see us going for it but that feels like it would be a great idea to me!

I'd happily do a straight swap with Castagne. It could suit both sides.

With Richardo not being back to his best, and JJ not even on the pitch, I'm at a bit of a loss as to why we'd entertain losing Castagne

It's very silly isn't it

You've excelled yourself with this bollocks. I didn't think it was possible.

The only one of our players who has turned up this season....

Holy flaps.

Allow me to explain myself.

We have three strong right backs. That's one too many. For nearly two years this hasn't mattered because at least one is always injured. However it is silly.

Meanwhile, on the left side, we have Bertrand who I'm happy to write off, and Thomas, who is a good but inconsistent prospect.

Our current solution to this imbalance appears to be to pretend that Justin is a left back. I don't agree.

So there is suddenly an experienced and highly capable left back available and we desperately need one. However, by BRs own admission, we have no money to spend in January. To just say buy Digne is a nonsense because we can't. We have to sell.

So my view is why not sacrifice a good right back for a good left back? Everton need a right back and Castagne would be a good signing for them.

I'd argue that Ricardo/Justin and Digne/Thomas is stronger than we have now. And of our three right backs, Castagne is the only one with a decent current market value. And in my opinion, he's the weakest of the three.

Why would he want to sign for a team in a relegation battle?

Had Sunday's game gone ahead, there is a strong chance that we'd be level on points right now.

In addition, being first choice at Everton is better than being a rotation option at City.

My Everton supporting friend has suggested that there is an off-the-field reason for him not being played.
