When I started posting here it was with a different name that didn't make it obvious that I was female. I got a few replies, generally friendly I have to admit. However the minute someone referred to me as "he" and I corrected them the attitude certainly changed :icon_roll

From speaking to women in other situations, it normally produces extremes of misogyny or else serious flirting!

I get the feeling most (if not all) of the women on here can handle it.

(cue the edits!!)

We are tough cookies and can definitely handle it :icon_bigg
There are only one or two posters that seem to have an issue with women... :icon_roll:

I used to post more often on another Leicester City forum and got so pissed off with having my posts rubbished for being female, that I started posting under another user name that implied that I was male and the difference in responses to my posts was unbelievable.

Some people are shallow to the extreme.

Including your foot at times.

Sorry but you had a go at me for the over-use of ellipses once and I just couldn't resist.

See Camberwell, don't get mad just get even. (No ellipses in this thread). :018: :icon_roll

What are you apologising about? What couldn't you resist? :102:

BTW, I never had a go at you, I just took the piss.
There's a huge difference.

I think there lies the problem, some people cant tell the difference

You're nothing if not a walking talking dialysis machine really :)

I want to bring up a point for discussion...

On this website (which is aimed at LCFC supporters i assume) of all ages, race, intelligence and location, why does there (seem) to be an ''inner circle'' of members (usually with high numbers of posts) who continually riducule EVERYONE who is not a member of this invisible privvy circle?

I for one (and i know i am not alone) entered this site to have discussions/different views shared on our great, but at present ailing club. What actually happens is that ''junior'' members are either ridiculed (in a way that is not banter) ignored, abused (some times racially) or made to feel distinctly unwelcome?

There are dozens (if not hundreds) of examples of this across many threads across this site. If we are to become a great club, then we should embrace all supporthers regardless of who thwy are and what their views are.

I for one (and again i am not alone) find posting on this site a bit pointless as, a ''junior'' (if you can call someone 40 years old, junior), member due to reasons above.

I would like to know why (some of) the ''senior inner circle'' members feel the need to do this? If it is to discourage ''junior'' members from posting on this site...well you have been successful. If it is to attract a more diverse opinion...well, this is failing.

Very soon this site could be full of posts from senior members, with no imput from outside. If this is the aim, continue as you are, and i am sure your wish will be granted.

I, for one will not be posting on here again.

I think you will find that when you meet some of the 'inner circle' in person they are nothing like on here.

Just stay clear of anybody who looks like this tho View attachment 2367

And make sure that you stay out of his KFC store

You don't want to know what he puts in the 'special' gravy reserved for people off here

my 2p:-

yes newbies get a lot of flak, for txt speak, duplicating threads, CAPS LOCK FOR **** SAKE, lots of !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and never hitting the return button :)

good, it's a test, you adapt or piss off. your first day at school you learn that calling the teacher "mum" and bobbing your pants will get laughed at, you deal with it and change. you don't go crying back to your mum

also if you get unfair abuse: say so, we'll listen

and yeah a few of us to over-react to a few things. i'm a sucker for theism and grammar, but hey, that's me. some people react when you say "Steve Walsh for manager" i don't

Thats all bollocks..

who gives a shit if we scare newbies off-theres enough sad bastards on here already who devote enough time to keep the place ticking over for a while yet!

If you post your views in general public, don't expect everybody to agree with them. Last time I looked, we were a democracy, not an Orwellian society akin to 1984. I am not sure of the point of seeking approval of the senior members either. You are the ones giving them seniority by thinking like that. Just have a debate, have a laugh, enjoy chatting with the diverse nature of the LCFC fanbase...

I haven't seen anyone particularly abuse anyone, certainly not bullying anyway. You always get the 'You **** off, no you **** off' situations that come with differences of opinion, but as long as you have the ability to laugh at yourself, don't take it too seriously.

I think that this forum is one of the better ones I have been on. I have been on both the official LCFC forum and also the Rivals site, but none of them are a patch on this community.
