Fake news!
For the record, Puel didn't say anything of the sort during the post match interview I saw. He was asked if Mahrez would be back for Manchester City and he responded with 'For today, Riyad is not in my mind, my head'. He was asked what he would do next and replied with 'I don't want to talk about the situation'. Hardly the same is it, really.

The term 'Brilliant Debate' is something of an overstatement. I heard three thick as pig shit ex-players wittering on and making no intelligent argument whatsoever.

I did hear Rob Tanner ring up Talksport and put Mike Parry in his place excellently the other day. Tanner has written and spoken about this whole situation with great sense and insight.

About 28:30 mins in

Stringer: No Riyad Mahrez today Claude. Do you expect him to be in training next week?
Puel: I expect nothing at this moment. My only focus and concentration is about my player - my squad - that are available. And all of the player. We will see again when Riyad join again us. And I will take consideration about it for the moment. I think the most important thing is to think about my players - their disappointment - they were not rewarded today. And to continue this momentum. Because of the quality is interesting - encouraging. And of course the result.
Stringer: So you don't know when he's coming back?
Puel: I don't know. I have not [sic] response. It is not my priority today. My priority is my players available.

Here is a conspiracy theory ..... did Danny Murphy know that Mahrez was going to man city before we did? He did say that he would be amazed if he was still a Leicester player come the end of the transfer window.
Also is it true that Mahrez had travelled to London for a medical on deadline day? If so Why?
The fact is that Mahrez has no leverage here we paid nothing for him so it is not like we need to recoup anything! He either comes back with his tail between his legs or the Chairman smashes him through the courts, I have **** all sympathy for him, man city pulled the plug not us!

How much we paid for him is irrelevant, I wish people would stop bringing it up.
How much will we have to pay for a replacement as good as Mahrez? Do you think we could find another one like him for £400,000?

What we paid for him is very relevant it means that he can sit where he is for the next 2 and a bit years no player is bigger than the club!
If we had paid 40 million for him he would have more leverage with club and would give the Chairman something to think about.
He is behaving like a child he is under contract end of story
