Ok, it seems the fans are split down the middle.

Sousa Needs Time Vs Sousa Out !!!

Just been looking at the next 5 games. Surely we should be picking up points?. Sousa's tactics should be taking effect now, this is the transitional period now surely, after all we pass the "10 game mark" that is so often mentioned.

So where are the points going to come from ?

Norwich & Leeds away are not easy places to go, Pompey are a joke at the moment and we should be aiming to win all of our home games.

Will Sousa still be in charge by mid October ?

Whatever NP's reasons for leaving, why do we have to dislike him? Were we to find out that Hull simply offered him more money, it would not alter by one iota the sterling job that he did for us during his two seasons here.

As to the next five games, they could turn out to be decisive for Sousa but, I have a nasty feeling that they won't be. Were we to lose all five, then, even I would join those calling for his head: win all five, and the crisis is over but, six to nine points and it is still indecisive.

I see no reason at all not to take twelve points. The only stumbling block we should face is hull, who by far have the best quality players of the list. If Sousa is a decent manager we should get 12 points from that line up.

I can't see why there wouldn't be. Either way, 12 points is what we should be looking at. or at least losing to 0 of these teams.

2009-10 Leicester would have given Palace, QPR and Middlesbrough a right shoeing, and certainly wouldn't have thrown the towel in at half time against Burnley. Sousa needs to start giving some answers, sharpish. And they need to be bloody good ones.

FWIW this time last year Swansea were 19th with a massive 6 points from 7 games. They then went on a run of wins and mostly draws until the turn of the year ... losing only to N'castle and Forest.

I think this squad can do something similar.

2 points per game is promotion form and if we produce this then Sousa should be secure for the time being.......and would merit our support.

To achieve those 10 points he has got to smarten up his act very considerably including getting his players to start getting their feet in when the going gets tough. As things are to-date we are a soft touch.
