It looked to me more like one of those goals with an old school plastic football, where you toe punted it and it just swerved and dipped randomly.

Oh yes, I remember those.

I had plastic boots, back when I first started playing for a club. I'd guess it was all my parents could afford at the time, but I don't remember anyone else commenting, or there being a stigma of anything.

There was a bloke on the radio here this morning who has an inside line on their accounts which are due to be released in the next day or so and the amount they have lost over the past year is staggering.
