Reminds me of the Arnold Palmer golf set I had. A plastic Arnold at the end of a stick that had swinging arms that you could hit a polystyrene ball with.

Hmmm. Polystyrene. Where's that XRay Spex album..............

Blimey Spion I had one of those golfers too. Couldn't remember if mine was a particular golfer.
I used to play all over the house by making my own course up. The putter was quite a good iron if I remember. You would drive onto the fairway, which has was the carpet and then iron shot towards the putting surface ( which was a green foam surface with the plastic hole in. But you had to avoid the plastic bunker and the rough (this was my mum's rug that went in front of the fire.) So you then swapped the polystyrene ball for a white solid one once on the putting surface so you could control the putt.
Yes I think the 1972 and 1973 Open's were replayed in my house.:icon biggrin:

It was a fabulous game - I had one too

Big polystyrene balls for the fairway, and a little white marble for the greens

Absolutely loved it

They aquired a lot of their power through a cosy relationship with the king by my understanding. Isn't that how they got their new surname?

So why would his death affect them?

The replacement is currently unknown apparently and any change in leadership could result in a change in support. Wasn't there a military coup attempt earlier in the year/last year? If the new monarch is less favourable to their (allegedly) suspicious dealings then their excess wealth could be impacted.

I thought the crown prince took over but isn't the military the real rulers of Thailand?
