Well if he has fallen out of favour with McCarthy, I don't think him out with his ex-teammates helping them celebrate our promotion is gonna help build bridges!

Mayb he wants a return to Leicester? :icon_wink

i know he didn't play in the QPR game, but was he being left out consistently?

He came on as sub against QPR. All of his last five appearances have been from the bench. Between times, he has been an unused sub.

Found out who the lad was who won the Academy award~Cian Bolger. Quite a lot of the first teamers made a point of going to the lad afterwards to congratulate him.

I'm glad Howard won, more so because his contribution to Fryatt's goals might sometimes be overlooked in favour of the fact that we've got a 30-goal striker, well for one season anyhoo!

I'm not surprised Hobbs won, though (not that I'm biased ahem) I think him or Morrison would've been worthy winners, it must've been a tough choice for NP and his staff this year, what with Andy King also in the reckoning for POTY following on from him winning Young Player last season. I also think it's shows how much NP rates him and can't see it being too long before a permanent deal is sorted for him surely? I'm just glad I don't have to vote as this season must've been a close call with the main award as it was!

Max was class last night, He was genuinely surprised to win Goal of the Season, a pleasantly polite young lad.

Methinks it will defo be on a satdee next season though.....it was the first POTY do NP had been to as a manager, so didn't know what to expect and was quite surprised how many folk made the effort to go on a weeknight. The only gripe I have is that the players were at the ground a good half hour before all coming up to the KWL together, fair dos they deserve the applause that befits a title-winning side(don't care what league it is, I'll never get tired of saying that!) and they all went straight to their tables instead of propping up the bar(like normally!) so it was a bit of melee getting photos/signed stuff etc as there weren't much space!

Still it was a good evening(though not as good as the ones back in the MON days!) and despite a few folk being there who don't have any connection to the SC at all(don't mind using the SC when they want to obviously) I think everyone had an enjoyable night.

And that's the main thing.

I'm glad you are not the manager of our club!

Boy Genius as usual I agree with you.
Leaving aside a few Premiership managers there is no one I feel would do a better job than Nigel including both of us. Do you have any reason to believe I was ever on Milan's short list or even his very long list?

No thank God! Just relieved you are not on it......

It really was never anything you needed to worry about.

On a more serious note if I had been asked around Christmas Tunchev would have been my player of the year. I thought he was superb and the fact that Leicester's defence managed so well without him says volumes for Hobbs and Morrison.

100% ...:038::038::038::038:

On the Stearman issue... I seem to remember reading/hearing a while back that he'd been doing really well in the first half of the season at centre half with Mancienne alongside him, but when Mancienne returned to Chelsea or whatever, his form dipped quite a bit and that's why he was dropped and has been in and out of the team somewhat.

I'd happily have him back here... I've always been a fan, and think he could do well at right back again for us... probably have no use for him at centre back though

Jack Hobbs looks totally underwhelmed. Was he expecting a bigger trophy :102:

How was Tuncheypants?

Agree, Tunchev would've been mine-but you can't give a player that award on half a seasons work(which is why I didn't vote Fryatt ahem) So I voted Howard instead.

It makes you wonder where we'd be right now if Tunchev had been fit for the whole season.....would we have wrapped it up earlier? I think a Hobbs - Tunchev partnership next season is quite mouthwatering.....an then there is Brown who I think looks very good too.......oooh i can' wait......just need the addition of a right back, left back, central midfielder, and centre forward and i think we'll be strong.
