I'd hate to see what he is like when he's not finding his form
Leicestershire Live: Jannik Vestergaard 'finding his form' as he gives verdict on start to Leicester City career.

That's it BR, great way to keep the fans up for what is already a ****ing pointless league campaign.

Gets us dumped out of Europa against absolute shit, again. Doesn't know what competition he's actually got us dumped into and now says we've had our best years so just enjoy the shit.

He's a hard to like twat sometimes

My issue with his comments is his salary. He gets paid an absolute fortune, far more than Leicester City should be paying a manager.

When Puel said the same sort of defeatist nonsense, at least he was a small time manager. BR is on Champions League money and telling fans that mid-table is our place.

It has really pissed me off.

I can't quite be so harsh on him. I read a deal of cold, hard realism in what he says...

‘With success, what happens is that you have two fifth-placed finishes and then you qualify for European football, people think you have created a foundation for success but for a club like ourselves, it may be the pinnacle. Because of resources and where others are at, it’s very difficult.

No, it's not inspirational, not by any interpretation, but I think it paints a picture of where we're at. To go beyond that, there needs to be the resources available to fund more quality in the squad. Maybe we'll have those resources in years to come but, of late, we've invested in the facilities and not the squad.

I think you can say we've fallen short this season (whether you want to blame injuries for that is up to you) and we've not even gotten close to our pinnacle.

My only quibble is perhaps Rodgers' inclination to not see his own part in that falling short. I think, in general, he's managed the situation with the injuries pretty well. I've certainly been impressed with his appearances in the media; he hasn't wailed and moaned about it (as some managers do) but instead tends to emphasise that he has to deal with it. I'm not however convinced that he has responded well with tactics and selections on occasions; he seems to want to persist with his preferred style of play (perhaps with a tweak) even when we don't have the personnel to play it. I appreciate he wants to try and maintain a style for when we do have everyone back but there are times when I think he's setting us up to fail.

He'll repeat the same shit again and again. He obviously thinks it'll make the likes of Man Utd consider him for the job there as it's all the fault of our players being shit.

Paying someone more does not necessarily improve the quality of the resources. There's only so much anyone can do (silk purses and sow's ears etc) The question 'is there more he could do with what he has' is one I can't answer.

Man City etc spend sh*t loads on arguably small upgrades (law of diminishing returns or marginal gains?) We simply don't have that much in the kitty.

True, that can get trotted out (perhaps too often) as a convenient excuse by all managers of 'lesser' clubs but there comes a point where it is a simple fact.

Absolutely everything BR has done since he's been here has only been to better the career development of BR. Everything he does is about getting his next big move. He knows every criticism of him in the past and is systematically attempting to re-write the narrative.

I don't object to this at all as it means that we have to do well for him to do well. But when he takes the cash, talks up the players, the owners, the facilities, etc. and then goes 'you know what, we're just an average club really', it's fecking annoying.

I think his comments are more a come and get me plee to any future potential employers.

He's saying he's done all he can here and wants a new challenge imo.

Will anyone will stump up the required compensation after results over the past 12 months? I'm not so sure they will.

That’s I read it, with a big fat side order of ‘this season ain’t my fault’.

Why the **** did we spend all that money on the best training ground in the country then?

It’s time he ****ed off.

Comments like that make me think hes mentally done here.
I've been very much BR in but if he doesn't want to be here then thanks and goodbye.

He’s in for a rude awakening if he thinks he’s lined up for a better job than the one he’s got.

We’d have a few more resources if you hadn’t signed those two absolute goons from Saints.

Yep. I can't see him making a step up now.
Perhaps Arsenal if Arteta fails again.
Sadly i dont see us doing any better either, atleast short term.

Shite management from Rodgers again. Why would anyone want him in charge with a defeatist attitude like that. Momentum, belief, form and all that other stuff on the mental side of the game is half the battle and Rodgers clearly doesn't get it....
