After Banks and Shilton, we had Mark Wallington.

A stalwart for many years
Many said the best keeper of his era not to be picked for England .

Chic Bates put an end to his long run of consecutive games in that forever memorable FA Cup game v Shrewsbury

Seems a player missed off many peoples lists when talking of past goalkeepers
Still in my top 3 mate.

Banks for me although I must say I never saw him live, looking at footage of him, it was the fact he never seemed erratic or had to dive that much, almost as though he read the game really well and had a knack of being in the right place? Also the save against Pele puts him in a class of his own, I am not saying Shilton was poor far from it, and it is great that we had two world class keepers at our club.
Both at the same time at one point. If I remember correctly, we also had the England schoolboy goalkeeper, who was going out with a girl across the road from me, can't remember his name. I think we had 3 England international goalies at the same time, senior, U23 and Junior

George Heyes?

I remember a City program from the early80’s that had 3 youth players with their nations shirts on.
Ian Andrews
Rob Jones
Can’t remember the 3rd

It could well be him, because although he didn't play in the first team until the early 70s. He had made an England schoolboy appearance according to some sources, but can't find any dates
I'm not sure that Jeyes ever did play for the first team. I think he spent quite a while at Nuneaton Borough after leaving us.
