Typical from an American who doesn't understand football, just make money. Can you imagine the legal challenges to such a proposal. He also fails to recognise that many of the 'unworthy clubs' also have very wealthy owners, Leicester and Everton, just for starters. I remember a few years back Man. Utd wanted to pull out of the FA Cup quoting fixture congestion as the reason, they were of course in Europe and that, as it is now, is where they made money and a lot of it. However they were threatened with all sorts of sanctions if they went ahead, needless to say they backed down. I cannot see this plan taking off there are far to many clubs considered 'unworthy', this American billionaire has just ostracised millions of supporters across the UK, include European clubs and it probably runs into billions it's not a good start.

It's why everyone wants Leicester to win the league. I think it would probably save football from yankee clowns with big money ideas and the self-righteous elite group of clubs trying to make a monopoly. Football is a sport, the minute you take away the competitive nature surely it loses the right to call itself a sport. Manchester City in particular should remember where they were only a decade or two ago as well...
