I rate coppers just a little higher than the wombles.

About as much use as an udder on a bull

bit off topic, but out of interest why do you think this? Is it because you don't like the way they exercise their duties, or because they just don't catch enough offenders. The former is a pretty 'anti' police attitude, the latter not especially so. Just wondered.

Strange analogy too, the Wombles are very good at their job and keeping pieces of shit off the streets

I've heard he met Orinoco one night on Wimbledon Common, I don't know what went on but he's never been the same since.

I seen a member of the Police push over a City fan today.......

Ive seen police stampeed into a group of supporters containing small children, had a go at them for it and got repremanded myself for it.

There is nothing new about the behaviour witnessed above, police at football games are thugs dressed up.

I bet that was Ben........:icon_roll

Almost sent him rolling down that incline as you came to the underpass.

He didn't like Ben talking to our mate Nick about how when we came out the ground it was like being herded like cattle, then again Ben did use the F word. I stepped in and said Ben was talking to us not him, and he said, 'Well I don't like hearing that language' Ben started to get a tad arsey so me and Nick pushed him away and carried on walking, but Ben couldn't drop it and made a comment about police over-reacting....next thing he's surrounded by coppers and gets shoved over.
I got manhandled out the way by one of the plods as well, charming I thought. Coppers seemed to stop acting 'in your face' when he fell over and we managed to get back to the coach without further incident.

Not wanting to stir up anti police speak, but the bloody old bill at Nuneaton station were a bunch of coks.

One copper with a scouse accent wouldn't let me go to another platform to get a Crewe train told me in a heavy handed way I had to get on the Leicester train, I felt like a prisoneer being prosessed. Even accused me of arguing with him when I told him Crewe trains don't leave from Leicester ??? I know they have a job to do and orders to get everyone away safely and quickly but it was ridiculous.

Don't get me wrong I completely sympathise especially when the scum on my bus refused to stop singing racist songs, they must have been warned that our bus a bit rowdy. But it pisses me off when they are not doing their job properly and letting the more law abiding of us get on with our day.

I've only ever been on the train once to go a cov match, never again!
Met up with a mate in Leicester in the morning to do some shoppnig, then after taking the stuff back to hers we went to the station, no problems on the way, on the way back it was a nightmare.

Train should've been 5.30, the police held it til 7pm.

I wanted to get off at Hinckley, as I could then get the bus to Shilton and be home for 7.30pm.

Even though the train stopped at Hinckley the police wouldn't let me off! Had to go all the way to Leicester, with the train being held for 20 minutes at Narborough, meaning I got to St. Maggies just before 8pm, 5 minutes after the 7.45pm bus had left...had to wait til 9.30pm for the next bus on that route!

They don't seem to care if you are elderly, female, or just a kid. If you dare to be a football fan they treat you like shit.

The organisation was like an army regiment - no doubt all on tender hooks after the fumble previously in the day. 3 coppers to every City fan...:icon_roll

When we arrived yesterday, we walked under the underpass, a copper stopped us and told us that we were being escorted to the ground. We were fecking 30 yards away :icon_roll ... One of the group started singing a football song and the copper told him to button it or be nicked. The bemused member of our group asked the copper what he could be nicked for, the copper replied 'a public order offence' ..... I've never heard so much nonsense in all my life. Coppers = ***** FACT

After the events of the fights a few hours before, you can't blame the coppers for being extra careful and not tolerating anything.

I never once had any police involvement on Saturday, you only get into trouble with them if you are looking for it. Have no sympathy for someone getting pushed over if he started to get a bit arsey with them. And Notts, can't blame the coppers for that incident either because as you said, your mate started singing a football song, which could quite easily be seen as trying to intimidate the home fans or whatever, potentially leading to some bother.

So I don't buy all this bollocks about the coppers being thugs and picking on innocent fans.

Bollocks.
We weren't looking for trouble, we wanted to get to our coach and get home. We were talking about how shite our team was, and it wasn't just Ben who used a swearword either. The copper kept going on and all Ben said was he was over-reacting, obviously he completely deserved to be grabbed and shoved over, and likewise I deserved to be grabbed hold of and shoved away when I tried to help him up off the ground, with a copper shouting in my face to 'back off'.

Yes, we love it when the coppers treat fans like second class citizens cos some brain dead tossers who don't wear colours to show who they are arrange a ruck.

I CAN understand coppers being careful cos of what had already went on, but do you REALLY think people wearing replica shirts are the ones who need watching if anything kicks off?

For years now imo the attitude of the police at football match is at best arrogant and at worst intimidating for the law-abiding fan.
