This may be a controversial call, but I think Alan Rogers was worse than McGivern.

Lewis and Rogers were crap but crap for us in the Premier League / top of the Championship.

Cort and Newton are worse.

I agree.

There is not much difference between league 2 and 1 so he should score a lot in league one to be honest, the step up to the Championship is a bit bigger but Fryatt has scored eleven in it so anything is possible.

Im clearly the only one who still thinks Fryatt has never done it above division 3.

Jon Ashton, who I thought looked better in the Premier League than he did for us in the Championship. Didn't stay too long. Had a decent throw on him.

Ashton was an awful defender. I could never understand why people were so impressed by him, unless the only thing they noticed was the length of his throw-ins.

Exactly, this is the time he should be making the breakthrough, but where is it? Played four times for the team at the bottom of League One in a four month spell.

I remember that game for several reasons the Norman Leet 25 yard own goal, the streakers and we had also dropped bombs on the Argentinians in the Falklands that day for the first time (not sure why I remember that). I was convinced it was the start of the Third World War.

Surely quite an extreme example is Levi Porter? In the 2006/07 season I remember him making over 20 starts, and scoring three goals, and he was only 19 at the time. Nowadays, he hasn't even got a squad number.

I think it's a particularly extreme example because at one time he actually became a regular player in a Championship team, and now he's not good enough for Mansfield in the conference.

The fact he practically lives in the Lounge on Saffron Lane probably doesn't help. Saw him in there 45 minutes before kick off once. Obviously he wasn't in the squad, but that's not really the point.
