I don't think it's going to be as bad as people make out. There are many countries with leaders that are far worse and let's face it Russia has Putin. It may even see a friendlier atmosphere between the superpowers, and a more co-operative situation. As for England, Trump is probably a better outcome than Clinton.
In the end it's the antiquated system that needs looking at. The people of the USA were given the choice of Trump or Clinton. Neither of them should even have got to the ballot. If 2 years ago you'd said to Americans that Bernie Sanders will be the President this time around they'd have laughed you off and called him a commie bastard, if he'd have stood against Trump yesterday he'd have won in a landslide - but the democrats decided to run Clinton instead.
Instead of worrying about other countries and ridiculing other electors or democratically elected people we should concern ourselves with getting the right people in charge of our own countries, people who can negotiate and work with those who are in power elsewhere not those that will alienate them.
