obviously trying to encourage new/part time fans
WTF is the Stoke voucher about, they are giving me £5 off a ticket that is in my season ticket book....... I would be happier with a crisp fiver instead

Erm, you can give it to a friend to encourage him/her to go to the game? Oh, I see what your problem is.
What about a fiver's worth of crisps? I am sure some shareholder could arrange that if you would prefer.
There will still be plenty on general sale on monday, right?
I wouldnt count on it. they will sell a hell of a lot on sat IMO.
On Saturday they're still only on sale to season ticket holders and members, so I'd expect plenty to be left for general sale on Monday.
But remember that ST holders can buy up to a total of 5 tickets each, so it can not be certain that there will be any tickets left - although I am sure that there will be. Also bear in mid that there were a lot of disappointed Villa fans who didn't get a ticket despite the fact that they did get the full 15% in the end - they may also be in the queue on Monday.
Why 5 tickets per season ticket if you ask me thats all wrong. Alright, Season Ticket Holders are you're fanbase but surely there is an underbelly of fan like me which can not afford a season ticket or have the time to reward having one. It was like the big teams at Filbo when no tickets would get on general sale because of all the season ticket holders buying the available two tickets on offer to them.

I'm not going to defend or otherwise the decision to allow season ticket holders to buy 4 additional tickets for this match - it's just a fact.
I do take issue though with the suggestion that it was impossible to get tickets for the big games at Filbo because of the number that ST holders could buy - and let's make it clear that they were entitled to one extra ticket, not two. OK, you might not have the money to buy a season ticket, or the time available to make it worthwhile for you - but why have you never considered becoming a member? If you were a member, you would be able to get a ticket now. And the saving on each ticket can cancel out the initial membership charge.
And as for missing games at Filbo. I can assure you that it was just a case of getting yourself organised and not just expecting a ticket to drop into your hand. Even when I did not hold a season, I can honestly say that I never missed a match, big or small, because I couldn't get a ticket - and that includes home, away and Wembley games - and I never paid a penny above face value.
Now stop your whingeing.
Season ticket holders can buy 4 extra but they will be for non season ticket holder surely!?

The club aren't too arsed about Quorn fans tbh :icon_wink
... they [season ticket holders] could buy extra three and sell them to Villa fans where the demand is big.
I never got a League Cup Final tickets despite being in many lines mainly because a number of woodwork fans suddenly appeared like the second season at the Walkers.
When I had a season ticket most recently, 15 of us went down, sadly only 4 my family have continued visiting at least once a month. So suppose that blows the theory of getting STH extra tickets.
I just think 4 tickets per STH is a bit too much.
They could buy FOUR extra tickets and sell those AND their own ticket to Villa fans, if that is what they wanted to do. But why would they want to do that?
The truth is that most season ticket holders, including the many on here, would be quite happy to get tickets for City fans who are not ST holders or members, rather than them having to risk waiting for a general sale - including you. But you have not asked any of us to get one for you. The truth is that you would rather moan about it than do anything about it.
More fool you. I haven't queued outside the ground since March 1968 when I was first in the queue for Rotherham tickets, having joined it straight after the final whistle of a game against Sheffield United the previous day.
I'm not even going to pretend that I know what you are on about here.
I just think you're moaning for the sake of it. Anybody who really wants a ticket can get one.
Boc its not just a ticket for me but for four of us. In my opinion, I see it has cheeky to ask someone I dont even know tell them to go the ticket office and ask for four more tickets in my desired position.
... I just simply think it's not fair that STH should get the right to extra tickets. So all City want is friends of STH there, then?
