I think we need another striker as well, as the two we have fit know there is no one pushing for a place.

Valerie Bonijov at Man City, he would fit the bill and needs matches now to get match fit again.

I couldn't agree more.

Dickov is not long away from Fitness and that Ricky Lambert champ score again last night, might need to snap him up in the Transfer window

I'll preface this observation (?) with the fact that I have yet to see a game this season, but it seems to me, from listening, watching highlights - and, of course, reading the pearls of wisdom on here, that our main problem is a lack of pace up front.
The RL commentary implied that Walsall were a big team as were Millwall and, as we all know, the way to beat these tactics is to have a speedy little striker.
We're doing well and I am sure that Pearson is aware of our short comings: let us hope that he rectifies them in January. Certainly no need to panic!

Good points.

I haven't been to any games either this season - nor I am ashamed to say am I in any great rush to watch clashes with titans like Walsall and Northampton.

The fact is that some of the posters on here live in a bubble. A couple of wins and they think we have become and should be unbeatable.

Let's try to be real. We haven't suddenly become a premiership quality side playing in the Third Division. There will be teams who will come to The Walkers and enjoy playing at a half decent stadium in front of a crowd about three times bigger than the die hards who turn up at their mud heaps. Some of them will take points off us in spite of the fact that we have a one or two players like Kisnorbo and Tunchev who are probably too good to be playing in this league.

From what I can see - and from a safe distance - Pearson is doing a very good job indeed and given a fair bit of luck we should get out of this mire and back to the mediocrity of the championship - at the point we will need some more better players or risk being in the same plight as the Forest are now.

Not if we play like we did last night we won't

Have a word Ted.

"it took some good runs from King and Oakley to break up their defence"

All a matter of opinion, tbf they did feck all in the second half but I think they did okay given that they couldn't really move the ball much as Walsall had 10 men behind the ball and played on the break.:102:

:icon_lol:

All these people wanting Hendrie, be realistic, he aint gonna come back while we're in this league.

We do need another striker though.

We saw the obvious central defensive pairing last night

And it doesn't involve Morrison or Hobbs

It's not 100% he will leave anyways no?

I don't think City want to take the risk of having a potentially 'career threating' injury player on their books. We've lost out before in Eadie and Jones. First deal comes in, they will consider it esp. with his contract out at the end of the season. We'll get nothing for him in the Summer.

Wesolowski injured last night playing against Tranmere.

Gosh, what a surprise......

Rowe-Turner is a favourite already....

''That aside, Lethanial "Snoop Dogg" whatever-his-name-is had a shocker. Snoop Dogg? Dogg sh&t more like. Gangster rapper? Criminal defending in my humble opinion.''

A fans opinion on MadDog

''How long has he got before the board lose patience with his crazy team selection, insane loan dealings and demoralising transfer listing''

It appears they are dependant on Wesolowski. :icon_wink

As poor as we were we still could have won if Howard had taken either of his chances

... which were both easier than the one he took at Oldham and the one from which Andy King scored last night.

Henderson In for the next match!!!

Paddy K and Tunchev middle of defence

Mattock in the left back position
