Re: Watford Post Match Thread

i could not believe my ears when 'Get Ollie out, and Dowie in' was spouted out over the radio, so getting him in is going to improve our season is it??? Hardly!

He buggered it up at c*v and would do here. 'He cant do any worse than Ollie' well do we want another could be manager? at the end of the day its the shower of shite on the pitch that need to perform! i for 1 hope Ollie gives them a right ear bashing!

Re: Watford Post Match Thread

What can you see? I see evidence that sacking a manager every 2 months does not work, i see that swapping and changing managers every 2 months has got us in this ****ing mess, i see that employing mediocre manager after mediocre manager gets you nowhere, i see not one manager better than the one we have willing to come here.

I see no suggestions from you.

And if you get your way captain, i see no ships, only hardships.

We didn't sack the last manager ! Can you not see that Holloway has no idea about tactics or man management. He's so arrogant that he expects all the players to change to suit him, not him change his style of play to suit the players we have. His idea of going 4-2-4 or 4-3-3 using strikers as wingers is rediculous. It's not working, how can he or you not see that. It needs to be changed. We need a more solid midfield, so we need to play five across, so either 4-5-1 with proper wide men or 3-5-2. When did we become Barca ? Even tonight he had Hume on the wing again. I feel sorry for any player who is played out of position, it's like fish out of water, they try to survive but they just flap around until eventually they end up where they came from or dead. I'm not impressed that he's sending all the youngsters out on loan, supposedly to gain experience. What is a player going to learn at Bournemouth. Losing nearly every game and in administration. Sheehan, one of our better prospects refuses to sign a new contract, that has to be because of the manager imo, Mattock, one of the best young left backs in the country, left out on Saturday to rest him, so where was he tonight. Holloway has already said he'd like to send him out on loan as well. The man is ripping the heart out of our club and you lot seem willing to accept it ... I'm not. The man has to go.

Re: Watford Post Match Thread

Anybody who thinks that changing the manager and playing staff every few months is a good idea is now getting to see how successful that sort of policy is.

MM "listens to the fans". I wish he wouldn't! He would be wise to remember: empty vessles make the loudest noise!

Re: Watford Post Match Thread

Thats the one for me.

Ollie needs to drop the comedy act (never liked it), and get real.

A bollocking from Ollie is like Benny Hill telling you what do :102:

What on earth are you basing this bizarre assessment on???

His jocular manner with the media means nothing, I'd imagine him to be very passionate when it comes down to dealing with his players.

I don't think for one minute that Milan listens to the fans opinions, I'm sure we have one or two fans that think he does though.

Re: Watford Post Match Thread

So his comments about listening to the fans and not getting Warnock were made up then?

He admitted that he has face to face with our very own bocadillo

Re: Watford Post Match Thread

I think we might as well keep him, we are going to be buggered if we sack him anyway so for once let's give him some time and pray to God that we don't get relegated..

I think so. If he listened to the fans MA would be back here.

It was an off the cuff statement that in laymen terms means im getting a bit fed up with his comedy act, and would rather see him concentrate on Leicester, than play up to the cameras and microphones (half the shit he says hes said before).

He puts himself in the spotlight, but can he perform under the spotlight.

The crowd are starting to get restless.................

Going by what the pompey fans have said, he does listen to the fans and is quite willing to meet the fans and chat.

I should rephrase that, 'respects fans opinions'. It's all a PR exercise. If the fans do sway what he does then we are doomed, what a way to run a football club!

I believe you've just paraphrased what boc's response to him was! :icon_razz

Your not the only one using the word ................... from the Blue Army......

"Holloway bizarrely insisted that the sending-off of O'Toole was "the last thing on this planet" that his side needed.

The Foxes had a near monopoly of possession after the break as Boothroyd lined his side up in two banks of four but despite having an extra man for 50 minutes, Watford goalkeeper Richard Lee did not have one save to make.

Holloway said: "People have got to remember that the move that we created would have been a goalscoring opportunity.

"I didn't want him sent off and that changed the whole ethos of the game. It lifted their crowd and my lot got nervous playing against 10 men.

"That's the last thing on this planet we needed. Before the sending off we were getting the ball down and passing it well which is what I wanted but after that we were anxious"

The man has lost the plot

We're going to have to give Holloway longer. This is pretty much obvious and I don't see MM changing that unless we lose 6 games on the trot, something we managed under the demi-God/demi-toad Peter Taylor.

However, amongst those who are arguing for him to stay, with whom I include myself, there are one of two alarming cases of confidence that relegation is an impossibility. It is a very real possibility. It will go to the wire.

Holloway had a decent record at Plymouth. He has a record as a motivator, but I think even Plymouth fans thought - and certainly the evidence shows this here - is that he is decidedly below average tactically. He is unlucky though that he is stuck without decent enough wing options. MM having to pay off the dross - which I can well believe cost the estimated £3m - severely nipped the transfer fund.

A top-notch wing loan signing is vital for survival now. + Perhaps Kavanagh for the midfield. The edge might have gone off his game given his age but he has character and leadership qualities that this team badly needs. I am pretty bewildered that Hume is still playing on the right. I think IH was correct to make Howard & DJ his front pairing. Unfortunately the midfield has the creativity of a lobotomised vegetable.

Leicester boss Ian Holloway:

"The chairman will not be happy, I know. We've lost our last three games, I'm a manager and I'm paid to win games but I accept that.
"It's a big, tough club to play for and for people who have come down from the Premier League it's hard to be playing for a club playing near the bottom.
"I don't think they envisaged it but if you're a victim, your luck won't turn."
