It always makes me smile when opinions are presented as fact. :icon_wink
Well if you truly believe in your opinion you will present them as fact, if you don't, you can't

Therefore, one can argue that RK is still a better shout than Dowie, Newell, Laws, Cotterill and numerous others who were bandied about as realistic targets.
I agree

Who knows what PT would have done, its irrelevant, a point interesting to me is that the other managers touted by people over the past 6-12 months are not doing any better at their respective clubs with more money and funding than RK has had, and in fact are doing worse.

Do you mean George Burley or Billy Davies ?

Not quite sure how you can compare him with Dowie just yet, and I don't recall anyone advocating Brian Laws

Probably not better than Davies - but we are unlikely to ever know.

Not many managers make it in their first year at this level with the expectations associated with the club the size of ours (especially with MM on board) - Roy Keane being a possible exception.

I have not got onto Kelly's back because I believe he is doing the best he can as a totally inexperienced manager on limited resources. Bottom line is though, it has not been, to date, anywhere near good enough in terms of performances and results and unless things change dramatically and consistently he will be on his way.

He may well make an excellent manager one day, but I fear it will not be with us. If we do not end the season with a barnstorming run, if he does not agree with MM's potential signings for the club for next season or if we don't start off next season in automatic promotion contention - then he will be gone. MM has no real option.

Funny how that coincided with the take over rumours and then a approach. We lingered for 3 months and once it was all settled we returned to the October form. Give the man a bit of credit.
ok...
