Morgan is a hardworking decent player at Championship level. In the way of things it wouldn't make that much difference if he stays or goes.

Eh?

It would make a big difference to our team unless he was replaced by someone at least as decent and hard working.

There is no player and no club for and with whom a deal cannot be done - its just a matter of whether the price and terms are right.

So, you are saying that a billionaire would be able to attract Messi to play for the Cobblers by meeting the sale price and offering him outstanding terms?

It would certainly show whether Messi plays for the love of the game or the dollar ;)

(However, i'm sure he is wealthy enough to turn the offer down, so i won't ask him)

At a very high level sportsmen (and women) have a need to test themselves against the best. That is why players are sincere when they say they want to p[lay in the Prem; it is not just the money. It is why Leicester will never be able to attract another Shilton, Worthington or Weller; they would want to play Champions League.

In the 1970s when Brian Clough was creating a great team he persuaded Shilton to join not by pushing money but with the simple comment "You've won nowt." If you play for Rochdale you play for money and to pay your mortgage; if you play for Barcelona you do not need to worry about your mortgage and you play for status.

Cardiff to offer 2 million for Wes

As been mentioned before, every player has his price.
Even with NP saying Wes (and Kasper) isn't for sale, if someone does offer silly money, he'll go.

Considering how much promotion would be worth, 2mil isn't silly money for Wes. He may be 29(?) but that's at least 3 years of good left.

Re: The annoying, but traditional, totally unfounded Summer 2013 rumours thread

But only one of those years for us if he doesn't sign a new contract. Is he worth £2 million for a season?

Beckford wasn't worth half a million to Everton, Danns wasn't worth an extra year on his contract and Wes isn't worth losing out on a decent transfer fee in the current financial climate.

If a premier league team shows interest he will be off like a shot. 29 and in the prime of his career, he will want to take a swim in the deep end.

One of the Sunday papers saying that Cardiff are interested in WM...

Just heard this on the news and it also said he was an hour late to his hearing after thinking it was tomorrow he was due to be in court.

Seems like the actions of a grade A tosser to me.
