What Are You Listening To Now?

I'm really not sure if it the Buckley version I'm thinking of, didn't realise so many famous artists had covered it, so I'm bound to have heard it somewhere before.

A legendary performance of the song was performed near the end of The Band's farewell concert, The Last Waltz, in which all the night's performers (with the exception of Muddy Waters) plus Ringo Starr and Ronnie Wood graced the same stage.

^ Just seen that on wiki, I saw that film a while back, so it's probably that version, I'll have a see if I can find it on youtube.

edit: OK, it wasn't that, but **** me: Dylan, Shakey, Van the Man, Joni, Ringo and Ronnie Wood all on the same stage. :icon_eek:

Bob Dylan - I Shall Be Released.

For some reason I can't get over hearing a cover version of this somewhere, anyone know of any famous cover versions of this song? Been annoying me for ages.

Did someone do it for that Anniversary Concert (the same one Clapton did a great version of Don't Think Twice, It's Alright and the O'Jays did that irritatingly catchy version of E Mo Sha Na Lee Yours)

Isn't that last bit meant to be 'didn't you'?

On some live versions, yes, but not on the recorded version.

edit: Just had another listen, I can see how you could interpret it as "didn't you" or "then you," maybe I've just misheard it all this time.
