Neil Young - On the Beach.

I've decided, this is Shakey's best album.

It is wonderful, not sure about whether or not I could say it's my fave though.

"Mirrorball" is my today Shake.

Never heard Mirrorball, or any of his recent stuff, just heard his earlier works really.

Between 1969-1975 he was so prolific and just kept releasing one amazing album after another:

1969 - Everybody Knows this is Nowhere
1970 - After the Gold Rush
1972 - Harvest
1973 - Time Fades Away
1974 - On the Beach
1975 - Tonight's the Night
1975 - Zuma

^ That is just a ridiculous succession of albums.

Radiohead - Kid A (album).

Haven't listened to this in ages. Forgot just how good it was.

:icon_lol: I actually liked the sound of one of her songs (I forget which, hence why I'm going through them), but she's about as 'not for everyone' as you can get.

Obviously you've never heard of Trout Mask Replica. :icon_wink

But yeah, I can totally see why the music would rub someone up the wrong way, love what I've heard of her myself. (edit that one.)

Never heard of her so just has a quick listen on Last.fm. WTF! :icon_eek:

She's surely not all there

Why? It really isn't all that weird or anything. :102:

I know she has an odd singing voice, but so do Bob Dylan and Van Morrison and if anything the uniqueness of their voice adds to their music.

Honestly if you think Newsom isn't all there, listen to these:

For me, her voice is very childish, I listened to a couple of others and although not to my taste, they didn't sound too bad.

Incredible. It doesn't stop there. It didn't begin there either. Buffalo Springfield were brilliant also.
