Top of the Pops 1976 on BBC4.

My Freeview Box's description of the programme says ""Dave Lee Travis Introduces Mark Bowland". That would be Marc Bolan then :icon_roll

I watched this as well as I wanted to see what songs would be on as I used to watch TOTP in the 70's although in '76 I may have been down the Pub on the Thursday night this was shown.
The dance to Young Hearts Run Free was a sight to behold. I know Flick Colby died recently but "dance" has come on a bit since those days. And the name of the dance group "Ruby Flipper" who thought of that? Didn't last long though as the group went back to all female and called Legs & Co and I can remember them much better- I wonder why.

A Tribe of Toffs - John Kettley (is a Weatherman)
Rod Stewart - Blue Moon
Slade - Far Far Away
England 1970 - Back home
Girls Aloud - Long Hot Summer
Jimmy Somerville - You Make Me Feel (remix)
Fleetwood Mac - Seven Wonders
Sweet - Blockbuster
P!nk - Family Portrait
Aztec Camera - Somewhere In My Heart

The Temps. A band in their early twenties (I guess) from Liverpool that (when playing live) sound like Flat field Bauhaus.

:034: My very first karaoke song!

I was watching Beetlejuice for the first time in years and it makes an appearance in that. Also at the end of the film they have 'Stand In The Line (Shake Senora)' by the same artist. Great tune! Bring back memories of holiday time down south and hearing the song played on the carribean steel drums again :) Might have to have a scout around on youtube to see if there are any steel drum versions going..

Eurovision song contest winner with 'Come What May'?

Apparently so. L'amour est bleu also came 4th in 1967. Quite possibly the best song ever entered into the thing, such a beautiful melody, actually heard of it because Future Bible Heroes do an English language cover "Love is Blue".

Sinatra has also apparently done a cover of the English language version, though I can't find that on youtube or spotify.

They always seemed really great is what they always seemed. They picked up where your precious Echo left off and you're sitting around complaining about no more Echo albums. I can't believe you don't own this ****ing record! That's insane! Jesus!
