It's not often I'm excited to listen to something unheard, but I am really looking forward to this.

A possible grower then

This is the third time I've sat down to it and I think the only conclusion I can draw is that I've grown up, or at least experienced twenty years of music in the meantime.

If it had been released in '92 or '93 I would probably have liked a lot more. It's a natural progression but one which is now firmly out of place in time...which renders it, erm, dull. It has no context and it has no obvious singles, it is a matured "Loveless" - but it's second best to the previous release.

It will remain on my had drive and occasionally pop up, and will be dragged out for dissection when my brother pops over. Aside from that it will join the ranks of forgettable releases which I collect, like dead butterflies. And like a dead butterfly there's precious little life in it.
