On this day in 1977 we lost the king.

I was on a coach on the way to Swansea to watch Leic play Glamorgan in the Gillette cup semi finals. Game was washed out and we didn’t see a ball played.
To cap it all off, they played the next day and we lost

The magnificent Quincy Jones passed away recently.
He wrote and produced so many wonderful and brilliant pieces of music, a lot that is not my cup of tea, but still top quality.

WFMU played this the other day and I couldn't get it out of my head.
Stupendous stuff. RIP Quincy.

Quincy was a Legend
One of my favourite LP's was his "Dude" LP from the early 80's and this track below with Vocals by Patti Austin was one of the best on there.Played it to death back then and still done recently
