There is a saying that turkeys don't vote for Christmas. It's not always true.

Totally agree, but if the thick ****ers a re stupid enough to vote for the action then they shouldn’t be earning the national average!;)

So not only are postmen practising anarchic and outdated working practices, and thereby claiming excessive overtime - but now they are all simpletons incapable of making a judgement about their own future

Nice

And I bet they were also responsible for the current state of LCFC.

I think that's a fair summary in many cases.

Now that's being silly. But let's wait and see if people's opinions change when tickets for Scunthorpe and Chelsea don't arrive on time.

But if I was a postal worker I'd be incensed by that comment

I'm sure you would but it doesn't mean it isn't true. And for your information that opinion is shared by the postal worker that lives next door to me.

Well in that case it must be true.
All postal workers are imbeciles who are incapable of thinking for themselves and they have allowed themselves to be pushed into voting for industrial action by a union that doesn't have their best interests in mind, but some other unspecified, ulterior motive.

Ooooo those evil unions, they make my blood boil, they won't be happy until we're all toiling in the gulags & queuing up for bread.

:018: All except the one living next door to Bob

If everyone in the country decided that they should earn the average wage, the average wage would increase and they still wouldn't be happy.

Crozier as much as i detest him made a point today that Postal workers who finish their work early ask for overtime if they are asked to do a different task, that's utterly rediculous.

Our post has varied from 9am to 4pm. Its been arriving around 2/3pm recently. Its rather irritating when you have large cheques in that need to be banked and the cut off time is 3pm.

Oh dear - mock outrage. What does that add to the discussion?

Do you think that the CWU are acting in the interests of their members in a contracting workplace?

Can you think of any instances, even in hindsight, where unions acted against the interests of their members?

Do you have fantasies about Margaret Thatcher Boc ?:)

Not at all. But I do think people should realise when they are fighting a losing battle.
