Instead of the usual PM bollocks, I listened to a brilliant documentary about Orwell when I went to collect the wife. I hope this strike goes on longer.

Yep. The husband of my wife's niece works in one and told us to "watch his world".

It really wasn't what I expected it to be. I thought it was much more open than I was anticipating. The lives some people lead are very disturbing though and I was genuinely shocked at the content, I found it hard viewing at times.

Having been a teacher it is exactly what I imagined it to be. Sadly.

I'm having to watch every horror(ish) film I can think of, it's Hell. Excision has a level of humour I've not seen in a horror flick since the Evil Dead...speaking of which, I am really looking forward to the new iteration of that franchise.

The original 'When Louis Theroux Met' series from 2001, I think.

Absolutely fascinating stuff. These old men (for the most part), like Paul Daniels, Jimmy Savile, Keith Harris, whose glory days are behind them, but they can't understand why - they think society owes them something. There are so many David Brent moments in there that it is stunning.

Then there's Max Clifford, who just came across as a manipulative mythomaniac.

I find it very hard to trust that sort of programme. You've always got to remember that the programme makers can edit the tape to suit the agenda they're putting across.

Really? Are you sure? I've never thought about it like that, you learn something new every day. You're very perceptive Major, will you be my dad?
