i think i've read all of them to be honest

also "The Red Queen" by Matt Ridley is very good

has anyone read "The Game" about those guys who are professional pick up artists in the US, "The Selfish Gene" is on the pick up artists' recommended reading lists

Beethoven was a great composer, and vastly influential of course (not least to the young Hector Berlioz). Berlioz however, was at the vanguard of the new era of music employing compositional innovation 40-50 years ahead of his time. Its hard to believe "Symphonie Fantastique" was written as long ago as 1830, just three years after Beethoven's death. That landmark also involved the first inclusion of harp and cor anglais as orchestral instruments, which they have remained ever since.
