Re: Will Leicester Get Promotion

Many expect you to be 4-5 points ahead of us after next 2 league matches.
Shows how bright many people are

True enough

There were even some thick fecktards who thought Dull Shitty would be ten points clear of us a couple of weeks ago.

Not many bright people at all oop north....

Re: Will Leicester Get Promotion

What if it's snowing in May?!

How long would the walk normally take, and how long will it take during a snowfall? Have you let the club know that you're going to be inconvenienced?!

Good job the last game is away. We can blame the trees for not being able to get there :icon_bigg

Re: Will Leicester Get Promotion

Don't worry - we'll be up by then. It's just the Championship title that we'll be playing for.

Wes Morgan to lift the trophy in front of a near-empty City Ground!!

Did Pearson run over your dog? What's not to like??

We play expansive, entertaining football.

I am still busy sticking it up to those wankers who reckoned Pearson is a defensive, dour manager. Give him the budget, he'll bring the players in. To think a load of here wanted him gone by September.

Cardiff are away. Play-offs look nailed-on. I shall be back soon with updated stats.

Re: Will Leicester Get Promotion

City 50 pts from 28 games = 1.79 p.p.g / 1.78 p.p.g auto average. Projected for 82 pts.

8 wins for play-offs (1.22 p.p.g)
11 wins for Automatic Promotion (1.78 p.p.g)
13 wins for Champions (2.11 p.p.g)

I say Cardiff are away....average need to be Champions is 88 points, Cardiff are projected to finish with 98 points.

I get the feeling that Cardiff are in a similar position to us in that a few injuries in key areas could leave them short. Or do you have more depth Ryhds?

Their side on Saturday was free of a few key players (some players I didn't even recognise). Still got the win. There's too many poor teams in this division to not collect the points Cardiff need to get promotion (same reason we will be in the playoffs for sure). Look at this way they need 7 wins out of 18 games.

Will Leicester Get Promotion

I've never had any doubt we would win promotion under Pearson. The man knows what he's doing, getting rid of him before set us back two seasons.

Strange that TOF doesn't post very much now...

Re: Will Leicester Get Promotion

I think Cardiff are all but up. It is only their choking from recent seasons that makes me hope they will do it again. A couple of defeats on the bounce in the next couple of weeks would make the fans a little tense and could make it interesting.

As for second I think it could be anybody from the next five teams. Personally I don't think Boro have a strong enough squad to challenge for 2nd. Hopefully Palace will lose Zaha in the next week, which would (I think) see them slip away.

Hull are starting to wavier a little bit. They will need to get at least a win from their next two difficult away games against Brighton and Millwall if they are to seriously challenge.

Watford could be a dark horse (there seems to be one every season). They are on a great run of form and seem to be playing some good football.

As for us Pearson seems determined to not let our form dip as it did the last time we made it into the automatic spots. Having made it into 2nd and currently playing some great football, I would be upset if we were in the Play Offs come the end of the season.

Here's my answer:
Final league table
1 Cardiff
2 Leicester
-----------------------------
3 Middlesbro
4 Hull
5 Watford
6 Palace
----------------------------
The above assumes Palace keeping Zaha; without him I expect them to drop out of the top 6 and lose their place probably to Brighton.
But who cares about that, the most important thing is to note who is occupying second place!

Re: Will Leicester Get Promotion

If you project the last 8 games as the form for the remaining games, the table looks like this.

1. Cardiff 102.75
2. Watford 86.38
3. Hull 83.75
4. Leicester 81.50
5. Middlesbrough 74
6. Burnley 73.5

That completes my weekly maths for you all.

Re: Will Leicester Get Promotion

Burnley have really sneaked up there as I was really surprised to see them just outside the play offs now. Dyche seems to have done a good job, especially if they can keep hold of Austin.

I'm not ruling out wolves or Blackburn though as they both have strong squads, just a bit of a question mark on their managers but I think they will both be much stronger for the last part of the season.

Things are looking very good for us at the moment, baring major injuries or behind the scenes problems, I'm more confident about it as I have been in the past 10 years!

Well I've read a few books since the summer.

Re: Will Leicester Get Promotion

Thanks Hazz.Hull back where they belong for next season

With form of one point from six, and you're last two games have been against 3rd & 4th bottom respectively. :081:

If you project the last 3 games as the form for the remaining games the table looks like this:

1. Leicester 104
2. Cardiff 101.99999999999999999999999999999999
3. Burnley 96
4. Brighton 82.99999999999999
5. Watford 82
6. Crystal Palace 71.999999999999999999
7. Hull 62.00000000001

Can somebody please do the form for the last 4, 5, 6, 7, 9 and 10 games.

We will then be able to work out an average by adding them all together and the dividing them by 8. This will give us a definitive answer on whether we are going up or not...

Useless until we include goal difference, based on goals scored by Wood in the 2nd half of matches.

You also need to subtract the amount of poor touches and misplaced passes he does every game.
