I wouldn’t worry about getting a replacement in until the summer. No need to panic buy and better to take a considered approach. Sad to see Mahrez go but it’s inevitable in the hierarchy of football that players will leave Leicester to join bigger clubs. We had 18mths notice and I’ll be surprised if the replacement isn’t already lined up.

Leicester hold all the cards here. They don't want to sell. They don't have to sell. Mahrez still has 2½ years left on his contract. Maybe he has a sulk and under performs again, but he'll get over it. Just like he did last time. After all he's only ruining any chance of eventually getting a move if he under performs. The club might have to seriously consider any bids in the summer though, as then he'll have less than 2 years left on his contract. From that point on his value will start to diminish.

Surely Mahrez is a better player/option than Van Dijk who has just gone for £75m?
Personally, I rate Mahrez as highly as Coutinho. He's certainly well beyond this sort of shitehouse offer:

If LCFC want to put this to bed, why do they not simply put out a statement saying ‘This club will not consider any bids for Mahrez below £100million, so do not waste your fax or email or our time on any smaller bid”.
