I am no geographer but it seems to me that Everton will always finish north of us.

He lives in London, so he'll have no idea of geography beyond the M25. He probably doesn't even know what's north of the Thames within the M25.

No real shock but nothing I couldn't have just made up myself so not convinced really. The transfer business is grim reading and I can't imagine the owners being happy with that. We've spent £25m or whatever on Maddison and then pissed away the £75m brought in from sales on magic beans. It's all too Taylorish for my liking but not sure how much of that is down to Puel as we've pissed away money before he came in on the likes of Silva, Iborra and players who have never looked like they wanted to be here (Salami and Nachos).

Many (including me) laughed at Everton for spending £50m on one good player but that makes more sense than us throwing £60m or so on an assortment of shite each summer.

It’s very early to decide if the central defenders are not up to it.

Still hope for Ricardo for me too.

I’m completely unconvinced about Ghezzel but it’s early for him too.

They might all be quite good under a different manager.
