Anyway taken up scuba diving which costs a lot of money and that is something I do enjoy

Please don't say its PADI.

BS-AC is the only way. If you need any help Jedi, just give me a call.

I'm afraid it's a big fat NO from me.It hurts me very much to say it but i really don't recognise my club anymore. The malaise around the place reminds me of the nightmare Pleat years (& even then we didn't drop to Division 3,although it was a close thing) If i was to sum up the season by just one event (well the last 4 seasons really) it would be the Sheff Wed match.
Admittedly there was precious little quality football on offer from either side but we got the early goal & were definitely on top for most of the half but as soon as they equalised against the run of play that was it.Heads dropped & they sagged visibly. They didn't even turn up for the 2nd half.Add that to Hume's ridiculous penalty & you have LCFC in the 21st century.Such an utter lack of belief that a reliable penalty taker completely changes his normally successful technique in a vital game.Bottled it utterly.
Before Pleat & after Pleat the one thing you could rely on from a City side was to fight. That has been replaced by abject fear whenever we concede a goal. The root of that fear is that they don't believe they can score goals. The best evidence of that came in the Colchester game.I watched DJ fire a brilliant ball hard & low across the 6 yard box & then saw 3 city players stand & watch it as it flashed in front of them. That was the kind of ball strikers dream about...but no-one attacked it.Utter lack of belief in themselves. The entire club needs it's mindset changing because one thing is for certain,no team gets out of League 1 without a battle...& we CAN'T battle anymore.
Finances are tight for me right now & renewing was always going to be touch & go but the drop has convinced me.No way am I forking out over £300 to watch hoofball.I can watch that on Viccy Park for free thanks very much.
I'll still go to some games & then reassess at Xmas for a half season tkt but I'm not giving over any more of my money for nothing in return.

Cue withering disdain & remarks that I am not a "loyal supporter" Well feck you,I've spent thousands of pounds on this club over 33 years of my life in pocket money, dole & wages.
Travelled to disgusting places like Grimsby on freezing cold winter nights after a full days work, had my head kicked in by Scousers,Covskum & Chelsea Headhunters in the bad old days, been abused by stewards & coppers, queued for hours for tkts to big games & steadily watched my income struggle to match my passion as the price of football went from a cheap indulgence to the fecking stupidity of the Premiership age.I could watch Frank Worthington for £1 & Gary Lineker for £1.50...now they want over £20 to watch Steve Howard in Div 3? Get fecked.
I will still support the longest lasting love of my life but i will now decide when & where & do it on my terms. You can only be let down so much at these prices before you just can't take it anymore. If we had actually gone down fighting there would be a chance I'd still be there, but the abject surrender of the last few seasons has taken its toll on me I'm afraid. They are just not interested,so i'm not interested in them until they show me a change of direction.

Cracking post. :038:

When you walk past their Bentley's and Porche's in the car park and contemplate the fact that Rab Douglas has managed to make more than a £1m from the club over the course of his contract, it makes me sick.

Even watching the Ronaldo's and Drogba's strutting about on Sky with their £100k a week makes me shake my head in disbelief. Did you know that Darren Bent is on £93,000 a week at Spurs? Almost £5m a year. What's that all about?

It's just not the game I fell in love with.

Agreed...not the game i fell in love with either & hasn't been for sometime.Problem is when you fall out of love with a woman or a career it's possible to find another. But with football you only have the one option.I can't see myself going down the Tigers for a bit of gay bear porn to be honest.& switching clubs is only an option if you are a fecking politician (David Mellor) & therefore devoid of anything approaching a principle

how the hell do you get an accented e on a laptop?"

é

ALT + 0233 - the 0233 must be typed on the 'numeric keypad' (switched on in differing ways from machine to machine) and not on the row of numbers across the top of the keyboard.

if you dont mind me asking, costs how much???

I have not got one as I buy tickets as I go along, but I believe they start at around 150 euros for the curvas, which is behind the goals. Where we sit I think they are around 190 euros

You have to copy & paste them from the Charmap, you can only use the ALT + number method if you have a separate number pad.

not quite - most laptops have a set of keys which turn into a number pad on operation of a 'number tab' key.

Obviously yes.I take my nephew and he wants to move to L1, I'm not sure I fancy it there myself, so we shall have to see where.

What puts you off?

I sit in there on row W so I still get the atmosphere but don't have to stand up all game.

I also head towards the other end of the concourse at H/T to get away from the burbury boys who get overly exited because their mate who looks 18 has just got served beer.

Obviously I don't know how old you nephew is but we have a number of young kids and teenagers on our row who all seem to be ok in there, and of course I'm a big kid!:icon_bigg

i'll be renewing hopefully this month, **** knows who i'm travelling down with as my old man has already said "bollocks to that, i'll go occasionally but why spend more to watch a team managed by IH in league one when I could watch premier league football at a club 25minutes away on the bus"
