I'm presently working my way through a case of pelforth and a bottle of Cognac that I was given this afternoon.

It might benefit consumers in the short term, but when the stores realise their marketing budget is being wasted because people are just going to Quidco to get some money back they'll end up increasing their prices to make up for it.
That suggests that consumer goods aren't already grotesquely overpriced which, compared to other countries, they are.
It also suggests that stores haven't done their research into consumer habits i.e. customers will buy now if they think they're getting a bargain rather than putting it off or even going without if they think something is overpriced, which, I'll wager, they have.

It's not just consumers, the retailers are also thick as pig shit.

I'll go into a store and offer a deal for a certain product at a nett trade price of £1.50.

He'll then tell me he is buying an identical product off of my competitor with a 20% discount.

It's irrelevant to him that their trade price is £2.00, and therefore his nett price will be £1.60, which is more than ours.

The dealer wants to know that he is getting a discount, and that his competition might not be. He doesn't appear to care what he pays, he's more concerned that he gets it cheaper than his competitor.

From today until the end of July, you can buy a Family & Friends Railcard for £12 (saving 50%) by entering the code DAILYM12 when purchasing. The card gives you 1/3 off adult fares and 60% off children's.

http://www.familyandfriends-railcard.co.uk/

Up to 4 adults and 4 children may use the card at any one time and they need not be related.

Toying with going for this one myself.....

I haven't got a clue what you just said.

I wish somebody would talk about tickets instead of cards/passes/groups/savers etc.

ie. a ticket to there please, return to there please.

Choice is stopping me going on trains.

I have one, and even at full price they are worth every penny. Your discount is applied to every journey, which includes the advance purchase tickets that have already been heavily discounted. The rail card will pay for itself more or less immediately. A great idea !!

I had one a couple of years ago and it paid for itself on the first trip.

It's a bit of a bugger having to steal a kid and then feed him/her all day though!!

Sad and Lonelies Railcard, you have to travel alone on every journey, join in peoples conversations even though you weren't invited and read the Newspapeer from back to front twice..even the Financial section.
Also known as a Highland Railcard
