Or he might just be an ordinary honest member of the public giving a genuine account of what happened

Ridiculous Homer. I'd believe it if he was a member of the territorial support unit with his face obscured and his shoulder number removed.

So the police would be biased but not the protestors :icon_lol:

Look, plod had been building this up as a major confrontation for months, which always drags out the worst kind of coppers. If it had kicked off big style, as they expected, some loser popping his clogs in the general mayhem would have gone unremarked. Since it didn't explode, this particular abuse of authority has just became more visible.

It is tragic that the man died. Whether the events of the Police helped towards his demise,I'm not going to speculate on.

What I will say is this, if I had to get home but the above was going on in my normal route home, I would most certainly look for a different route home, why didn't he?

I cant believe you "shoe horned" a comment about farmers into such a serious political/social issue. Speaking of which have you tried a gently warmed shoe horn Homer ?

Im affraid that is not relevent, he has the freedom to walk home whichever way he wanted, I read in an article he told the police it was the only way home, whether this is true or not should have no influence on the outcome of the investigation.

Wrong had been done and the person responsible should be questioned, regardless of the circumstances of his chosen route home.

Of course its not true who only has one route home in the middle of London :icon_lol:

How do you think I got to this chronic state in the first place ?

As I said, even if it was not his only way home, so what?

Did he deserve the treatment he recieved because he used his normal route?

I've seen a map that was drawn up of his movements from the newstand to where he died. It appears he tried a number of streets to get home, but they were all blocked off by the police.

Clearly

I am just struggling to think what rational arguement anyone could have against mine below.

Unarmed man is struck with a batton and then hurled to the floor by a policeman (someone who should know the law) This is caught on tape and cannot be ignored.

Unarmed man dies minutes later, the aforementioned assault could have influenced his death.

Police SHOULD launch an investigation to determine if there was any wrong doing (I believe that is how the law works for any human beings). The police themselves obviously agree as an investigation is opened.

Try and read my original post once more as it still appears not to have sunk in, if you are still struggling then i would suggest some form of adult learning course may be appropriate for you?

Which bit is beyond you?

Seems little point in contributing to this thread anymore.it seems many believe the Police are above the Laws they are paid to uphold.

I suggest a trip to Specsavers. Were you looking away when the baton was hitting the back of the dead man's legs? :102:
