Assisted by Waghorn, Vaughan, kermogant, Spearing, Bruce, Brown, mcGivern yes.
Those seven made 93 appearances between them, compared to the 160 appearances made by the six players I mentioned who are now considered not good enough. So it was very much an "assist", as you say.

Am I mistaken, or did the likes of Gallagher, Dyer, Berner, N'Guessan, Oakley and Howard get us to within a few minutes of the playoff final last season?

I don't know how you are going to raise a million off three players who are 30 plus either. It's not that easy esp in the current environment.

And yes, you are right on the players which says a lot about the management for me and the system we are playing. King is more disappearing than ever, our full backs are our most attacking threat and we're playing a striker in decent nick on the right wing. Add to that a failure to replace the quality loanees with something. Under Pearson with King Power money, we'd have signed at least one loanee and if not, he'd bring in others like he has done at Hull.

Chill and have a sandwich :icon_bigg

But Sousa has screwed up a perfectly decent Championship set up inside six weeks.

When Pearson left, I was really disappointed.

When Sousa came in, I tried to see the positives but couldn't help feeling that we'd made a terrible mistake.

He's totally changed a defensive system that worked perfectly well. He's tried to turn players who cannot pass the ball into a euro passy, passy team. He's chosen Campbell over Fryatt - which anyone with a brain cell knows is the wrong call. He's bought a bunch of nobody's and never-will-be's from abroad that have no pedigree and no sense of what it takes to win games in England. He has taken a winning team and made them losers. He's abandoned the most forward thinking and astute sports medical/science set up the club have ever had. He can't communicate in the language of the great majority of the squad.

The man is doomed to failure and his ideas are not going to work. He's just going to be shite and continue to be shite. It's only a matter of time before everyone sees it.

How can he say we dominated the first half today? We were a mess in the first half today. We've played three very average teams and two of them have pissed all over us. We are weak, disjointed, confused, unbalanced and defend like a bunch of kids.

Sousa - you can take your fecking Champions League medals and shove up your continental arse.

What a poor post...How has he screwed up the team...the backbone of last season has gone.

The team was missing 3 regulars today in Gallagher,Dyer and Fryatt...take away Spearing,Waghorn,Brown,Bruce and Vaughan thats 8 players missing from the back end of last season..

As Micky said no alternatives in todays squad+ we have a new manager who has had no idea what his budget was.

Give the guy time ffs

About spot on.

Just got back and I know that we have only played three games and we are under new management and are settling in to a new style of play but **** me that was awful. As people have said Sousa is only kidding himself if he thinks we dominated the first half, we had two good chances and other than that it was very even and they had a disallowed goal and had much more of the ball.

Don't really know where to start, our solid defence from last season seems to have just dissapeared, Jack Hobbs one of the most solid players last season seems to be struggling for confidence? I'm not sure what it is but he is struggling. Also why waste a substitute by bringing on Lamey for Neilson in the last two or three games, for ****s sake what is the point in bringing on a right back for a right back when we are 2-0 down, if he prefers Lamey to Neilson then start with him. Moreno looks like a very good player and in my opinion was the only player to come out of todays game with any credit maybe along with Wellens. Conrad Logan needs telling to keep his goal kicks within the pitch.

Midfield was overall very poor, Oakley and King were non existent again. Wellens did well and worked hard however he was never going to be able to control the middle of the pitch by himself with the quality that Burnley have in the centre of midfield. N'Guessan is just too frustrating, does so well but his final ball is so shite that you wonder why he doesn't just shoot and hope for the best. DJ looks like his usual self, can't be arsed and getting pushed of the ball too easily, welcome back DJ. And Howard got bossed by Bikey for 90 minutes, not that we took this into consideration as we continued to lump high balls up the pitch all game.

Sousa is begining to worry me overall, he has been here for a fair amount of time to assemble his squad and realise who his better players. He seems to make pointless subs at stupid times, I really hope he proves me wrong and I am completely over reacting after a poor performance but after three games I fail to see where goals are going to come from, paired with leaking goals left, right and centre I fear that if we don't strenghten or sort things out then we are going to be in for a long hard season.

Complete over reactions and lack of realism or perspective. If Sousa had just blown the budget given to him by King Power and we were 15 games into the season and on a downward spiral then I think people would have more basis to worry.

People complaining about the lack of quality in the squad perhaps need to take a long hard look at the guy in charge last season, instead of building the foundation of a squad and a team he bought in loans, which have gone back to thier parent clubs and with a limited budget until the takeover we were left with what we have. Give Sousa and the new regime an opportunity to build their own squad.

And Duzza no other club in this division would be able to bring Bellamy in, that comparison is completely out of context and proportion

I know some people are bitter at Pearson leaving and I for one am not going to start judging Sousa yet, but I'm sorry, this blaming Pearson is utter bullshit.

The loans were mostly squad players. Looking at our regular starting XI last season. 9 of the 11 are still at the club.

Yes, Waghorn, Brown, Spearing, Vaughan etc. have left, but Sousa has also signed Moreno, Moussa, Vitor, Lamey and Crncnic (sp?).

The first choice XI that was so successful last season is still essentially here, it's just squad players that aren't. Sousa has replaced them. If they turn out not to be as good as the players Pearson had on loan (which looks the case atm) then that is Sousa's fault. It has absolutely nothing to do with Pearson.

Pearson is gone and isn't going to come back, get over it.

Pearson is history, but I have been very worried about Sousa from the outset. I don't really think we have the luxury of giving him time.
All the other teams in this division have had 3 games but only one ****er is sitting at the bottom.

Thats fair enough that you have been worried from the outset and at the minute it looks like you may have made the correct call. I was pleased when he took over but in the last four games, I'm yet to be impressed at all, worrying.

I am not blaming Pearson, however people who are slating Neilson, N'Guessan etc need to remember these were his signings, we have not got off to the greatest of starts under Sosua but we had poor runs under Pearson as well. Sosua started slowly at Swansea as well, plus we are trying to play a completely different style of play, one that will in the long term be far more progressive.

Moreno has played 3 games and has decent reviews on the whole, whilst Crncic, Vitor, Lamey and Moussa havent started a competitive game, far too early to judge

And to replace the above mentioned he's bought in Moreno, Crncic, Moussa and Lamey who were all in today's squad.

I understand he needs time, but he's had several pre-season games in which we looked poor and 3 games where it's not looking great. I don't believe we should chop and change (if it was up to me I'd give him a season at least, unless things are looking particularly bad) but it's not looking great atm.
