I am not blaming Pearson, however people who are slating Neilson, N'Guessan etc need to remember these were his signings

And as BG pointed out earlier, Pearson soon realised they were shit and didn't play them. They were bench warmers under Pearson. Morrison or Solano (who Sousa has replaced with Lamey) were both picked instead of Neilson and Dyer and Gallagher were both ahead of N'Guessan in the pecking order. These may have been Pearson's signings but they were not first team players under Pearson, the better players he picked ahead of them have been dropped to the bench under Sousa. Again, it is not Pearson's fault if Sousa can not realise that Neilson is worse than Morrison.

There's the case of it not being your team and there's the case of not knowing your team.

I can't understand why is playing Neilson either, I can play better than him, and I'm shite.

Your getting me worried now profondo. You would have thought Sousa could have worked out by now that Neilson is a poor excuse for a footballer.

I was listening to the Burnley commentators when he was subbed and they thought he'd had a good game.

Didn't hear much of the match, I was trying to listen on my mobile and I couldn't get the commentary to work until half time, and only then after I logged in using the Burnley site.

I didn't think he did too bad today. But unfortunatley he (and Oakley to an extent) will never win the majority of fans over after last season. Yet many seem happy to sing DJs name :102:

Some extremely harsh words for Neilson in my opinion, I felt he was one of our better performers today. Defensively, anyway. Whenever he received the ball on the wing he was outageously isolated, exactly as he was under Pearson for most of last season.

He's started the season a mcuh better player than what we've seen from him previously, so I can't quite work out what he's done to warrant this specific criticism. His replacement Lamey came on and contributed by giving away a penalty.

I'm sorry but how the hell can you compare with last season? It wouldn't matter if we had the exact same squad with Pearson still in charge the teams we are playing are different they have changed players and managers who's to say Pearson wouldn't of had the same results if he hadn't of ****ed off the the bright lights of hull????

I'll take your word for it.

oh dear, seems we got a bad manager to replace a decent one.

ok another loss, but whats really grinding me is the amount of goals we conceding. The players dont lose the ability to defend overnight, this is down to training and/or tactics. Sort of like when paul ince was at blackburn.

But Sousa has screwed up a perfectly decent Championship set up inside six weeks.

When Pearson left, I was really disappointed.

When Sousa came in, I tried to see the positives but couldn't help feeling that we'd made a terrible mistake.

He's totally changed a defensive system that worked perfectly well. He's tried to turn players who cannot pass the ball into a euro passy, passy team. He's chosen Campbell over Fryatt - which anyone with a brain cell knows is the wrong call. He's bought a bunch of nobody's and never-will-be's from abroad that have no pedigree and no sense of what it takes to win games in England. He has taken a winning team and made them losers. He's abandoned the most forward thinking and astute sports medical/science set up the club have ever had. He can't communicate in the language of the great majority of the squad.

The man is doomed to failure and his ideas are not going to work. He's just going to be shite and continue to be shite. It's only a matter of time before everyone sees it.

How can he say we dominated the first half today? We were a mess in the first half today. We've played three very average teams and two of them have pissed all over us. We are weak, disjointed, confused, unbalanced and defend like a bunch of kids.

Sousa - you can take your fecking Champions League medals and shove up your continental arse.

It probably isn't popular after 3 games to agree with you, but I do. I didn't like the appointment of Sousa, and in my opinion Milan Mandertroll is the architect of this mess. To take what we had and turn it into this...

In as much as that's cardiffs latest signing versus ours yes. Feel free to replace Moussa with anyone else we've signed pre/this season
For the record, Lee Naylor was our latest signing. He has a good debut too although needs to lose some lumber.

why the hell can't we defend anymore?? and why did he play Howard up top by himself?? i didn't go but it sounded like that on the radio.
unless he manages to buy some players who can play his style of football, (i.e. pass a ****ing ball) we definitely won't go up, let alone hit the play offs this season....

SORT IT OUT!!!!

I think it's more the nature of the defeats that have people worried.

Iwas at the game thought Nielson was doing ok, i assumed he was injured because he was replaced by Lamey, if a tactical substitution it would have been a more offensive player as we were losing

I totally agree and I still find it hard to believe some people stick up for Mandaric. He is a clown and continues to hire them. He fluked a good appointment once, in what seems a long time a go now, then just let him go without a fight.

What you mean compared to our faultless performances last season against the likes of forest away and WBA away oh and Sheffield Wednesday away?! We all know Pearson was a good manager (if not a bit of a bully) but as much as everyone wants to blame Milan he is a big boy and it was his choice to walk out on us! It is far too early to judge Sousa and his managment skills he has obviously had to wait for this takeover before he can spend any money so let's judge him in a few weeks but not after game three!

And especially not like a couple on here who seemed to not like him and been hoping he will fail ever since day one!

I am guessing that he sees Lamey as the first choice but that he is still not fully match fit. Another season without a reserve team in a league and there is little alternative to these short appearances.

Three games and some (not you dpjfox) are writing off the manager: unbelievable. If things get any dafter, we'll be decrying a new manager after watching the team warming up!

Pearson is history, but I have been very worried about Sousa from the outset. I don't really think we have the luxury of giving him time.
All the other teams in this division have had 3 games but only one ****er is sitting at the bottom.

The one thing you don't get in football is time.

The nature of the trade is that owners make usually quick decisions about whether their manager is on the right track.

So far, it looks like the manager is trying to impose a style of football which is unlikely to yield results from the players he inherited and he has brought in nonentities who I fear the next manager will want to get rid of sharpish.

Unfortunately Milan generally gets it wrong in picking managers and it takes him about four or five goes before he finds a good 'un. Now he is starting to fade from the plot, I don't know who will sort this out if the results don't come soon.

An over-reaction? Probably. But as BG says the fact is that we are bottom. And after 3 games we are already 8 points off the top and look unlikely to compete with clubs of comparable size who have strengthened their squads.

unbelievable

Is it? Really? I find it entirely believable, I would have thought at your age you'd be used to our fans by now.

It has been a terrible start to the season but this year we have not had as much of an easy start as last year. People seem to forget that the messiah's team managed to lose to Preston twice in 2 months at the start of last season. We also drew at home to Peterborough for **** sake....not that I am excusing our terrible form so far this season, but lets not kid ourselves into thinking we were amazing this time last year.

In order to keep his job I think Sousa needs to start spending on players that can actually pass and play the style of football he wants to play. If he is unable to bring those players in he has to just accept that this team can be functional and grind out results. To start with Dany and DJ on the pitch when we have players of much better quality on our bench is ****ing retarded though, so that can be slated even at this early stage

In todays NOTW Sousa says he has money to spend.

He says new signings will happen before the window closes at the end of the month.

He goes on, there a number of players he would like to bring to the football club.

Sounds like 3 or more players, just hope we are talking million pound+players,we have the squad we need to bring quality in now.
