Just a response to everyone that called Sousa deluded Laws also said we should have been two up at half time!

Just to observe that Sousa's major (loan) signing so far has not been fit.

Comments from Benfica-watchers on another board:-

"Also that Sidnei is a lump of lard. But with the useful Miguel VÃ*tor out on loan at Leicester ... who else is available when Luisão ain't?"

"Yup, Miguel Vitor and Halliche, both good centre backs, both surplus to demands at Benfica."

If we've got a player who apparently should be in the Benfica team that's cause for optimism, I'd have thought.

No point being excellent if you are not fit? :102:

I know that. Just looking for some cause for optimism is all.

Shit result. Shit lineup.

Gallagher should be playing. Morrison too.

Not encouraged by the current evaluation of the squad by Sousa.

Early doors, and we've had a very tough opening set of fixtures, but I'm left a little uneasy so far.

What a crock of shite that was. Worst I've ever seen Howard play in a City shirt, King was anonymous, Neilson tried hard but lacks any attacking ability, Campbell, although out of position, got frustrated to easily and N'Guessan was woeful.

Things can only get better!

Gallagher is a luxury player: we can't afford to play his type of player until we have a team that gells and, as to Morrison, yes he is a good player but with him and Hobbs, there is too little experience.

Kris Boyd has just scored for Middlesbrough against Sheffield United. I reckon that takes us off the bottom.

Things are looking up.

Now I have had some time to think there were a number of things which concerned me.

1) The system. It's not balanced.
2) The lack of tactical nous. After ten minutes, it was easy to spot three players for Burnley who needed playing out the game. Iwelumo, Elliott, Alexander.
3) Andy King. Sousa wants him to play forward, this leaves the right wing exposed and King's game neutralised. Also, he got the ball about fifteen times and rarely made a pass.
4) Attitude. Only Wellens looked ready to battle whilst Howard and Campbell moaned.
5) Moreno's passing. As bad as Brown's.
6) Sousa's failure to change system.
7) Subs. Why waste a sub when your right backs having a decent game and you have two subs left.
8) Djombo's crossing. If you're going to cross the ball. At least look up rather than whack a ball across.
That saves me typing up my thoughts on yesterday's game; thanks!!

From skysports.com - Paulo says "They (fans) need to keep belief. If they reflect a bit, they will realise we are close to a win. I hopes things turn for us - soon."

First thing - I'm sure we all hopes things turn for us.
Second - Does anyone that was there yesterday realise that we are close to a win?

i was there we werent close to a win. imo Burnley never trounced us at any point and i feel if Weale could have stayed on allowing Crnic for Howard we might have pushed them, i will be dissappointed if we finish below them!

League doesn't matter, now we can fully concentrate on the League Cup.
