We do a lot of work for a company up in Middleton, I get on quite well with the guy who runs the office. He's a Burnley fan and also lives 2 doors away from Robbie Blake.

That makes it a certainty then. Mrs NP is already packing the bags.

Latest link Lee Clark Hudersfield for Burnley, not us. NP is loyal isnt he?

Of course he isn't. Nobody else in football is, what makes you think Nigel will be any different?

hopefully Burnley will have taken note of today and Pearson will certainly be off their list :)

I don't understand the cynacism (sp) on this thread.

NF is not the type to post b*llocks. Also why wouldn't Burnley be interested in Pearson, his recent CV is pretty impressive, saved Southampton from relegation, promoted with a record points tally from league one and now taken us to fifth place in the championship. He also seems to be well respected by his players.

If the likes of Lee Clarke and Simon Grayson are on Burnley's radar and then there is no reason why Pearson wouldn't be interesting them either.

I dont think its cynical A-z i just think that due to the fact Pearsons name has not mentioned anywhere except by NF the one or two may think it could be an untruth :icon_lol:

The only reason why NP isn't likely to be in the frame for this job is that the view that bookies and the more discerning punters will take is that the job wouldn't be particularly attractive for him.

Burnley will almost certainly get relegated and they 't got an infrastructure to suggest that they are a good long term bet.

Other more attractive jobs will crop up for NP to go for - particularly if we don't get promotion this season.

As Owen Coyle said in his interview to-day - managers take decisions to move on for 'football' reasons.

Loyalty etc doesn't remotely come into the equation.
