I still reckon there needs to be a rule where clubs cannot persue employed managers during the season. Will make them think twice about sacking managers as well.

Todays Sun reckons it's Sean O'Driscoll. He was interviewed on Sunday, and £1m compo is all that stands in the way.

The only reason why NP isn't likely to be in the frame for this job is that the view that bookies and the more discerning punters will take is that the job wouldn't be particularly attractive for him.

Managers who are on the way up take jobs at clubs who are on the way up. NP is on the way up, Burnley are on the way down - so it doesn't fit.

Managers who are on the way down take jobs at clubs who are on the way down. That's why they're going to get somebody like Brian Laws.

That's not to say that NP won't go sooner or later - just that he won't go to Burnley now.

he is now the bookies new favourite to take over - i dont think the bookies have a clue who is going to take over as theres a new favourite every day!!!! :)

Bookies set their odds to balance the book - not because they have any more knowledge about future events than the rest of us.

Are Doncaster bigger than us and should we be worried? :icon_wink

Something I noticed earlier while watching Sky Sports News.....

Martin O'Neill always had his initials (MON) on his training jackets etc. Sean O'Driscoll only has the initials SD :icon_bigg

Tut tut :018:

Your wrong. O'Neill isnt much of a morning person so his wife stitches the name of each day onto his jacket. That way he doesnt get confused.

Obviously you saw him interviewed on a Monday.
