Nah. Mourinho wasn't even good to play semi-pro. Sunday league player I think.

I know it's from Wiki, but...

Mourinho wanted to follow in the footsteps of his father by becoming a footballer and he joined the Belenenses youth team. Graduating to the senior level, he played at Rio Ave, where his father was coach

Weird that Burnley have gone for Brian Laws, but good news for us I guess as NP is staying put.

I think it's purely a financial decision. At the end of the day coyle went to Bolton as they had more ambition which speaks volumes about burnley!

"The results of a Deloitte and Touche study, delivered at the club's request, confirm that he was top of the list of Championship managers over the period 2006-2009, in terms of delivering the best results relative to financial budgets." link

Pretty much says it all.

and probably because he played for them, it makes me laugh how clubs usually like to go for an ex player to be their next manager, do they do it to try and get the fans on their side or because if they were a decent player for them they automatically think theyll be a decent manager as well :102:

Two words: Nigel Clough
