Anyone been listening to RL? Have they mentioned anything about this meeting today?

I want to hear some news! If Levein doesn't go today, I'd like us to announce a player signing... I just want to know whether the board are backing him or not..

According to Moyes, he's thinking of retiring due to constant injury problems.

Hows about this kid? Hes 26, so fits in with our slightly older criteria. Scored 13 so far this season and QPR as sposed to be interested. Avaliable on a free in the summer but they are keen to get some money for him now. Would be good in conjunction with a Fowler deal.

no strikers will be leaving WBA due to the african antions claiming 2 of them

Is that a new fatal disease?

The stats dont lie
.........................P....W....D...L...Pts
THIS SEASON.....
27 games so far...27...5....11..11..26
last 19 games of
last season........ 19...4.....10..5...22

So as we got 22 points in the last 19 games of last season and if we get the same this season(or less) then a total of 48 means RELEGATION is more than a possibility!!!!!!!!!!!!!:icon_cry: :icon_cry: :icon_cry:
Gilligham got relegated last season with 50 points 2 more points than above

The question is can we afford NOT too sack him.

Division One (old Division 3) crowds will average out at less than 15,000
I would think and the contracts of Sylla:icon_eek: etc will still have to be paid and we will be in a similar position to the 2002/2003 season except ONE league lower.

Does it need the protests similar to Blackburn (h) January 1991(after which we got rid of Pleat:098: )

Yes, and it wasn't a " Happy Atmosphere " as Russ Abbott so tunefully put it.:)

His goalscoring record is very poor, 5 goals a season is about his average. We neemeone better than that.

Wasn't he top scorer at Filbert Street one season?

I personally think we can afford to sack Levein. We will be receiving some dosh for the game on the Beeb on Sunday, we are expecting some more dosh from the Connolly sale, and Levein will be given some money to spend in the transfer window. The board should use that money they are giving to Levein to pay him and his staff off, so someone with a clue can get the team playing well. I don't think we need to sign any new players because we have one of the best squads on paper, its a new manager we need to get them playing well.

But we might end up losing just as much in ticket sales because of the ridiculous kick-off time.

Do you really think we don't need any more players?

Our top goalscorer this season is MdV (He's scored more than Hammond and Hume combined, and he can't get into the team any more!), our next best is a midfielder. Hume has scored the same number of goals for us this season as Connolly!
We desperately need someone who can put the ball in the net. I don't think our strikers will suddenly start scoring if we bring a new manager in, they've never been prolific scorers at their previous clubs and I don't think that's going to change.

So we may have the choice of getting a new manager, or getting a new striker.
