How long has it been since King was last in trouble?
How long it is since the young woman who was his victim thought about the incident? We will never know but I would expect it never really goes away.
How long is it since Marlon KIng asked the Coventry fans to stop those chants about the young woman - chants she may well be only too aware of?
It's impossible to condone either one. One is a wild overreaction to what may have been a public rejection. The other is an act of stupidity that puts lives in danger and in this case ended one. At least King has the option of apologising (which I don't expect he'll take up, in fairness - but the girl's life continues). Who does Chapman apologise to?
He may not have specifically intended to injure someone like King undoubtedly did, but he did something that he knew could cause death. King knew he wasn't going to kill anyone. Chapman must have known he was likely to.There's always the family he can apologise to. It's by no means going to take away any of the pain but it's something. An example being Lee Hughes arranging charity football matches and doing a lot of community work since his imprisonment and meeting up with the daughter of the man he killed. It will never make up for his actions on that night but at least it shows he is remorseful.
As you've just said it was an act of stupidity, which I completely agree with, which had a tragic outcome. My point is that one act of stupidity does not make him a worse person the Marlon King, a persistent and an aggressive offender, which I believe was your initial point.

There must be a fairly high percentage of drivers who have sped, used their phone, or performed other acts whilst driving.
Did you quote the wrong post? or did you misunderstand my question?

Bit more substance to this. I'd like to think it won't happen though.

Some crap in the story though. Sven is quoted as saying, "...we cannot contact players until the league is finished". The truth is that clubs can talk to and sign pre-contract agreements with players who are about to come out of contract from January onwards.
Makes me wonder about the rest of what is written.
