its a shame he has been to prison especially for what he did, if he was totally inocent and never been in the nick etc we would have a good freebie at the club. its just a lot of aggro signing a player like this. bring back dickov and malaga?

What the **** are you on about?

Its not his only visit to prison though, is it.

At least he didn't kill a pensioner while sending text messages while driving, like Adam Chapman did.
.

I'd say King's crime was worse than this one. Killing someone is obviously a worse outcome but the crime itself of texting whilst driving isn't. The guy didn't mean to kill the pensioner and he's going to live with that for the rest of his life. Marlon King actively went out to hurt this girl by headbutting her just because she dented his pride.

Exactly. Fans don't demand a say in who works in the club shop or the ticket office. They shouldn't expect their arbitrary whims to be catered for when it comes to what players or coaches the club employs.

Few Leicester fans cheer the names of the people who who work in the shop or the ticket office. Most young Leicester City fans do not have pictures of the people from the shop or ticket office on their wall.

I would guess that a long criminal record would probably harm the chances of someone getting a job in the club shop or ticket office.
When someone has at least two convictions for theft they are not usually trusted handling money.
If I were the parent of a young woman working in a shop or office I would not expect my daughter's employer to hire someone with a record of violence against women on two different occasions.

BM has clearly seen a post I missed. In which post did someone ask "for their arbitary whims to be catered for"?

Then obviously the club won't complain if a sizeable proportion of their female support cease to spend their money on tickets or merchandise.
I agree. The club need to be intelligent but they don't want to go down the route of being dictated to by fans.

Er... Yeah.

F*** right off! What an absolute load of old shit! If you piss around with your phone or radio or anything else while you should be concentrating on the road, you should expect to kill someone. If you don't expect the worst you're a complete twat. I don't think MK expected to kill that girl, do you?

So he should be kept away from society altogether? He shouldn't be allowed to continue a career doing what he's good at? He should wear a bell around his neck in public to warn any women in the vicinity to run screaming in the opposite direction? What do you want?

I must be a twat because I've never managed to kill anybody while pissing about with my phone when I should have been concentrating on the road.

But that is just one of a multitude of reasons.

Poorly phrased wasn't it? Fixed now...

tbh it's all well and good saying 'he's served his time' blah blah blah blah....but he's obviously not learned(so far) from the previous convictions for various offences he's got. (14 since 1997 isn't it?)

I'm not sure whether he is just a lowlife scumbag or a thick lowlife scumbag as you'd think being lucky enough to play football at the level he does, he wouldn't do some of the utterly twattish stuff he's been done for.

Either way, I'd much rather the club stayed well away from him.

I wonder sometimes.... how your able to post stuff like this ,and so often, without being ripped to pieces. This forum has gone soft.

As would I, but I recognise that it is not and should not be my decision.

Nobody knows what he's on about Kingy. You, on the other hand, we can comprehend perfectly well despite the fact you're still using 'your' in the wrong f***ing places.

I also understand it's not my place to tell the club who they should go after, but I would like to think they have some common sense about them in regards to this. Well, hopefully!

And did you realise you are turning into Victor Meldrew and you aren't even 30?:icon_razz

Plenty of arseholes have played for city in the past, without the fans knowing about it. The problem for Marlon King is that everyone knows he's an arsehole, before he has even made it to the club. I like the idea of giving a second chance but if all accounts are correct then this could well be his 15th...? Perhaps national service would be more appropriate.

I'm not condoning using a phone whilst driving but what I'm saying is that it's not on the same level. There's no malice or intent to do anybody any harm. It's an accident caused by poor judgement. In my opinion it's just as dangerous for a driver to change the radio station or a cd whilst driving but that's not illegal. To say that he is worse than a serial offender is ridiculous.

Whilst he never expected to kill her he certainly intended to hurt her and probably intended to disfigure her while he was at it and that's where the difference lies.

It's impossible to condone either one. One is a wild overreaction to what may have been a public rejection. The other is an act of stupidity that puts lives in danger and in this case ended one. At least King has the option of apologising (which I don't expect he'll take up, in fairness - but the girl's life continues). Who does Chapman apologise to?

How long has it been since King was last in trouble?
