Claudio Ranieri Appointed Manager

This really is depressing and proof should it be needed that our owners really are clueless. They got lucky with Pearson but this is scraping the bottom of the barrel.

Gone by Christmas with £3M in his pocket and leaving us with a string of overpaid shite players on lengthy contracts. Mark my words.

I'm marking them - and I give them 1/10.

Two lovely delightful articles in the Telegraph. As so often happens Steve Walsh Sr was the brains behind buying Kante. Claudio was dubious. How lovely to have a boss with the confidence to say "Don't listen to me again. I don't know what I am talking about" - of course you have to be good at your job to get away with that.

Great articles DG, thank you.

Reading the start of this thread just gets funnier to do by the week...

I suppose ultimately my main aim is to see us established in the Premier League by beating relegation. He's probably good enough to do that, but can he lift us to the dizzy heights the owners are dreaming of? I don't think so..

Not sure how high TS is aiming. I presume he wants us to win the World Cup. :)

It was the owners who decided to fire him, and that is an actual real life fact

And it is they who have appointed a complete and utter clown in his place. That is also a fact

So yes, I can safely blame the owners for both of those events

Those Bastards :)

Just had a quick read back and I'm quite pleased with my tactical approach at the time.

It baffles me why people would have such strong opinions when it's obvious that none of us knows the first thing about what's going to happen. New season, new manager - it's all just guessing so why would you go for the worst case scenario?

Indeed. I was pretty neutral about the appointment. It was obvious he was the best option when Neil Lennon and Steve Cotterill were the other names mentioned but I was kinda apprehensive after Sven I must admit, but I thought Pearson was a poor appointment first time round and Holloway was a masterstroke, so I've more than learnt by now to give any manager the benefit of the doubt as you have no idea how they'll adapt to the club and the players.

I'm happy but he was manager of Greece and they lost to the Faroe's. Hopefully that was more to do with the Greek's and their economy.
And just realised he was the bastard that sold us Denis W*se
I'm still happy- very much so :)

Worse than Morgan and Albrighton?
Both utterly clueless bags of shit, donkeys of the highest order
Who would have thought. ;)

Should have broken the bank for Dyche.I like Claudio but he was good a long time ago
Well cafe we know you're a Dyche lover - must be his rasping voice.
I'm with Alex and you.
I fear I'll regret that in many ways.
Not now eh Blaarev although you surprised me with your answer to this post -
The forum won't exist. Ranieri will have destroyed the club by then and Jeff will have turned TB into a site for scat and midget porn. I called this, just remember that in the future.
