Leicester 5 Sunderland 2 was as good as it got. Heskey sold before the next game and the rest is history. That game was a tantalizing glimpse in to what we could have been. I hadnt seen such a good front pairing since Lineker and Smith

Amen. I still have that on tape.

Watched the season review of that game video before the start of this season to inspire me into thinking how good we could be. Now its just depressing to think how good we good have been.

On the Peter Taylor or Dennis Wise topic I prefer Taylor. Peter Taylor tried to do well for the club and failed badly. He was a nice man who did his best and was just not up to the job. Dennis Wise was a thug who deliberately harmed the club.

Along with his 'monster' agent Eric Hall. Like Erland Johnsson, some people will never be forgotten (or forgiven) by Leicester folk.

Does MON regret leaving us, I am certian of it. Apart from CL football he has gone backwards since he left us. His current position and squad strength at villa I reckon is worse then our squad at the time he left us and we were probably a year away from top 6 had he stayed.

No he doesn't. He left us for the team he had always supported as a boy, Sunderla, er, Celtic. Apparently he would have walked all the way up the motorway and then onto the A roads and the minor roads to get to Sunde, er, Celtic. Or was that Lennon? Dunno, it's all in the past now where the best memories always should be.

we tore them to pieces that day and that was a sunderland side that was flying at the time with phillips and quinn up front. heskey and collymore could have been awesome together. I don't think there was a more explosive, athletic, powerful strikeforce in the premier at the time. great days!

i will never forget that game, simply because i predicted the score
