You can't tar everybody with that brush, some people have been open minded about Ollie from day one, these people aren't "fickle", they have genuine concerns

All of which are the responsibility of the Manager

We all believe he is trying to address the problems, it's hardly rocket science, it's just that some people are doubting his ability to do so. Being as we have no evidence to suggest that he can, is it wrong to doubt?

I'm not tarring everybody with the same brush...they should only wear the cap if it fits....

I agree it's the managers responsibility...with valuable input from the Chairman...

I too have doubts and will continue to do so after every performance like Saturday's...the thread though offers and instigates a change of manager as the solution and that is what I'm replying to...it's not the solution.

I didn't get carried away after the cov game, I saw it for what it was, a one off.
Matt you surprise me, were you watching the same De Vries as I was at the beginning of the season. He was by far our best player and yet got loaned out, then sold.
Then again you don't surprise me if you think that the only fans that are genuine are those who see what is happening to the club and don't look through rose tinted glasses, hoping everything is going to be ok in the long term under a manager who can't see where he is going wrong. Just because he has said the same as the fans only proves he's read the web sites !!

You're right of course, as is Steven, after 16 games he should have us as promotion running. Anyone who thinks it will take longer than that to turn aroun 5 years of mis management is clearly deluded :icon_roll

Didn't we have a poll last week asking how long IH should get? What's changed?

Most agreed the end of the season, minimum.

I've never expected to be in the play-offs this season, mid - top half yes, better style of play, definately... and a manager that can bring the best out of our players. No excuses of they're not my players blah blah blah ... if we were a continental team, the chiarman buys the players and the manager then has to make it work, Holloway obviously hasn't got that ability. If he admits he's got it wrong and changes the system he will go up in my estimations, but not until then. I've sais many times, we're not Barca, we don't have those type of players, we cannot play a 4-3-3 system. It has to be changed, we should not have to wait until the summer to see more comings and goings, then have Holloway say ''this is now my team'' and still end up in the same situation.
Holloway said he wanted a winning mentality, then went and bought two players from Derby !!!

my guess is that he will replace Clemence with Oakley as captain

There are quite a few players who would make better captains than Clemence. I see no leadership qualities in him at all. Well, not the ones needed when you are in a crappy predicament anyway.

Also quite a few who would make better midfielders, let alone captain

Utterly wank on Saturday, as he has been all season

I hoped we would be but realistically I didn't expect it either.

Mind you, I didn't expect us to be facing a relegation scrap either so what do i know.

A note of point if I may - it sounds as though Plymouth played pretty well against us on Saturday. This was a team built by Holloway so isn't that proof enough that he can develop a team of quality?
