Nevermind, hope we have other targets at a good stage of negotiation.

Brighton showing some ambition. We could have a new big player in this division. Very exciting if you ask me. Which you didn't.

Mackail-Smith is an outstanding player, the fact he's climbed the leagues the way he has is second to none, my worry is if he will be able to produce the kind of displays he has done in the past on a consistent basis in a higher and tougher league.

is it just me or am i the only one that is not bothered if we do not sign this player , maynard would be my first choice out of the 2

No - I would be delighted if it did fall through

He's decent, but nowhere near decent enough IMO

Who we get instead, however, is another problem altogether

How many goals did he get in the championship last time?

I'm pretty much on the fence with this one.I would be happy with the signing (although fee is high) but if he goes else where I will not be too sad. There must be other options about.

Its weird. At first I wasn't bothered about it, but if it falls through I think I'll be slightly annoyed. Mainly because I don't know who we are going to get now instead!

It's more galling that he has chosen Brighton over us!

He's taken the most money on offer, big gamble since he is likely to be their major signing and have lots of pressure.

Announcement due at 1.30pm to confirm he's signed for Brighton.
