I like Danns and before he got injured at the back-end of last season he was our most in-form player. But he is nowhere near as influential or valuable to the current team or squad as Savage was for us in his time. Robbie Savage is a much underrated footballer in my opinion. I think he was just as important to us as Muzzy Izzet and Neil Lennon were.

Learned what? Blackpool were perhaps a better team than they would have been without him but we certainly weren't any worse off for not having him here. DJ was absolute cack for us and didn't want to be here, loaning him out elsewhere didn't result in us 'defending' the home leg or ****ing up the penalties in the second leg of the playoffs.

At the Leicester Legends evening Steve Walsh said "Personally I thought Robbie Savage was a prick." It is not language I would use but a sentiment I agree with.

I want Leicester to win but not by any means fair or foul. If we win because the referee makes a genuine mistake or because of a fluke great. I do not want to win by diving.
For me the most repellent thing in modern football is the attempt to get an opponent sent off - something that Savage was very good at.

To be fair I regard Danns as an honest but limited professional. I do not see him as the new Robbie Savage. There was only one Robbie Savage and I for one do not want to see a second. .

I have also noticed that the Mercury seem to be sporadically making up stories based on a few words the manager says in post game interviews.

It's often a totally misleading headline followed by absolutely no facts or direct quotes relating to the topic of the story.

My opinion is Stringer is that he is quite happy to get anything he can against Pearson. This is because Pearson is very protective of allowing any journalist access to the training ground etc. You may laugh but there are footballing spies! AVB was Mourinho's spy at Chelsea who was once found crawling in a bush. Man City recently built a massive wall to avoid cameras from taking pictures at their training ground (the various pics of Ballotelli kicking off were annoying the club).

For Stringer, journalism is hanging around the training ground for four days week trying to find a story. He feels the club owe him (and the people) a story every day. His research and contacts are through twitter (where as most print journalists can count on various colleagues up and down the country). The comments regarding Beckford are probably what a player said in passing like ''Becks was with the Under 21s today''.

That there says 8 GCSEs...was a Software Sales Manager and then got a job at BBC Three Counties.

EDIT: Just searched through a Q + A he did on Foxestalk in February....someone asked five times what qualifications he got in reference to the job, no reply.

Jesus Christ, if it's not over the top lambasting of players for one missed pass, it has to be Stringer instead.

He is a ten fold improvement of the previous commentary team as he is passionate and a genuine fan who actually gets excited when we come close or score as opposed to the other team which is how it used to be. Also, much like we are Leicester City and won't be able to get players like Messi & Ronaldo, we listen to the games on Radio Leicester, a tin-pot local radio station which has no chance of competing with the big national stations to get the best commentators so we have to make do with what we've got and I think he is perfectly good enough.

I thought I was a miserable bastard but some of you lot make me feel like I'm with Mandy & Charlie all the time given the amount of negativity that gets posted on here!
